  1. best protein / health shake reply yet. I used to use 5 eggs, peanut butter, 2 banana's cocoa powder and milk into s shake every morning and drink it...bloody horrible but i think it helped
  2. Might just do that Comrade! All in the name of the motherland.
  3. Milk, potatoes and vodka.
  4. Hama. I might of being able to climb it ..but i would have needed to rig it down, might be 70% safe to climb ..but why run the risk when i can have fun stunt felling it.
  5. good point! chainsaws and chipper and real loud and could cuase probs, Also a harness can put a lot of pressure onto the stomach and hips and in tree climbing you ned to sometimes pull yourself up and over a branch..this could be risky. to much risk i say.
  6. Its the same with canters..anytime i hit a pothole i headbutt the roof.
  7. Redbull gives you wings!
  8. Nice vid. what a view. why did is need to come down? Little tip would be to knock those pegs off below you, Otherwise the timber will wack of them when you want a chunk to run or branches will get caught up. AAlso best to use a < shaped mouth so when it breaks of the head will be face downwards rather than jumping outwards. ( takes away some of the shock ) though when you are 100ft up having a peg or 2 to put your flip line over sure is good for the mind.
  9. You know theres a tree surgeon who has got we will beat any written quote on there website...might just do that Mark.
  10. I have had gecko spikes for couple years now in that time i replaced the straps, and padding needs replaced...not cheap to replace. better going for buckingham titanums with big buck pads.
  11. Yeah thanks for help. Would love to just nuke it!...but think knocking it back into hole and grinding it out is most sensible option.
  12. Do you think a mulcher could handle a stump that big? Don't know much about them but from what i know they are good for site clearance on small / med trees.?
  13. I used vitaprint couple years ago..very cheap..but bad quality. the printing had washed out of couple months.
  14. yeah maybe 2 tons is little low...but def not 10 tons. i think the stump grinding idea would be cheapest for sure. could get a tractor to drag it out but need something to lift it onto the trailer..and access in via a field. Well post pics of the cutting up part...the tree is a monster.
  15. got a really big storm damaged beech to cut up and the stump is going to be in the way for builders that are coming to fix a retaining wall..so need to be moved. Its a massive stump and i reckon it will weight 2 tons. Access in bad so no crane. Any ideas?
  16. Yeah i have done plenty method statments for big companies. This job is a residential job where there is no factor involved. Lokks like the want ferrarri job done...so i'll give them a ferrarri price!
  17. Done a method statement for medium trees crown lifting job, next to road that is not busy at all. not busy pavement for public either...costumer asks for risk assesment and i tell him i will give him copy of it when i do it on site with staff. My plan was to put signs, cones, hazard tape out. 2 men on ground in hi-viz to watch incase someone needs to walk past..and use arborcoms for communication. real easy job ( limes ) this is what i get as reply Hi All The specific safe working method statement must be specific to each working site and included should be compiled from the risk assessments. Therefore how can he compile the method statement if he has not carried out the site risk assessments? Notwithstanding that both the assessments and safe method of work must include all who could be effected by the work being carried out not only his employees but residents and the public. He states that he will be dropping branches from height this will need a closure of the pavement and obviously part/whole of the road especially as he said there needs to be no cars below, what about residents and more specially, joe public, who are not aware that work is being carried out. There are specific heath and safety guidance on the work that he intends to carry out and would suggest he reads and implements same. No work should commence unless the contractor complies with these requirements. Have we actually received detail of the work and not just an outline as provided. what am i missing ?...feel like telling him that i will get road closer, pelican crossing, traffic light brought in for 4 x the original quote.
  18. barney can you pm me details. thanks

  20. Really good kit, But a little bit expensive when you taking into consideration that you need to replace celox etc every 2 years. I bought my own arb kit. went online and sourced all the celox plasters and bandages i need and made up my own. regarding the first aid courses for arbaid i think its a great idea if you have the money. the basic first aid courses don't cut it..tree workers need intense first aid training if they are going to make a difference. Dressings - First Aid Dressings - First Aid Supplies :: First Aid 4 Less
