  1. Aah yes. “Short arms and deep pockets syndrome” I think it is in the Northern DNA.
  2. I used to love watching Rex Hunts fishing adventures. Rex Hunt was an ex Ozzie rules star who went on to have his own fishing show and had got quite portly in his old age. One episode he was describing something from when he was a young man. ”When I were a lad, I mean, before there was a roof over the tool shed…” Once I get to fat twat status, I will be using that one as often as I can get it into a conversation.
  3. Whenever I couldn’t finish a meal when I was a kid. My dad or mum would say… “Eat your food, there are baby children starving in Africa you know!” Cheers Bob (Geldoff) and live aid. Now a days, I use this saying whenever my kids don’t finish their food. As soon as I say to the kids “finish your food” A chorus comes from the other side of the table… ”Yeah we know, baby children starving in Africa!” Then my youngest (the cheeky one) usually says. “Ok, I’ll send it to them then.”
  4. You can get a stroke from diving into cold water in a cold day. My pal over here dived in for an Ice Bath on New Year’s Day. He had a stroke later that evening. 39 years old, healthy Muay Thai Instructor.
  5. I know which one would be more fun…
  6. If you can try to change the length of the bridge. This will affect how you will hang.

  8. Nice fleet Simon. Hope your well mate.
  9. Scruff the rope up a bit. Maybe the zz will work then? I don't use a zig zag so I don't have any experience on that top and combo.
  10. Sliders mate. Not sandals. A complete different kettle of fish.
  11. Or a Star Trek fan. Sandles and socks in the Uk - social outcast/nerd. Sandles and socks in Sweden - Fashionista / social influencer. Go for it, I am sure you will fit in.
  12. I don't get it?
  13. Haha. You’re a freak wearing 49’s. Cant really blame a manufacturer for not catering for sasquatches. 🤪 I think Andrew’s are great boots. On my second pair. First ones lasted about 3 years and are still wearable, just the rand split a bit so bought a new pair for last winter.
  14. I don’t work in Forestry I am afraid but the 400 is a great saw and a delight to use. Puts a proper smile in my face when I use it up a tree. I can imagine you’d be sporting the same smile using it on the ground. As for the longevity of it in a forestry scenario…. I have no idea. I don’t think it has been out long enough to see how it fares day in day out.
  15. In response. The bollards and the trolley are Reg’s ideas and not Stein. The X2’s are horrendous to wear and some of the most uncomfortable spikes I have tried. No idea who invented the Vega harness. But had a go and it wasn’t for me. My comment was based on the history of Stein taking a good product and relabelling it. Then the quality of that product reducing rapidly. Just look at their first version of the Rain Jackets. They were cycling ones, worked great and did the job. Then most of the people I know who them bought them found they were wearing a tbag. Their cubes were just copies of the Falteimers and Weaver fold flat throw line cubes. I have had one Falteimers cube for over 8 years and apart from the dirt it is as good as new. I have seen Stein cubes fall apart in the first week. Just my experiences.
  16. I find Notch to be fine tbh. The Rope Runner Pro is a delight to use. So are the Gecko spikes. Which of Stein’s products are original ideas?
  17. Personally I would buy a big shot, just because it isn’t made by Stein.
  18. So you have thought about it, realise you have a use for it. Just buy a new one.
  19. It is a bit old now but a pretty good resource. Old school, by that I mean it is an actual book, made with paper and such. Not a load of web pages or half arse YouTube videos. Worth buying for the basics IMO. The basics are just as relevant today as they were 20 years ago. 20. Is it blue? Many moons ago... when I was a youth we used to drive down to York Dragway. They would do ‘Run what you brung’ days. There was a dude there once with a cossie engine in a Reliant Kitten. It was mental.
  21. Just get the Kitten and not a Robin. Think of the extra weight that fourth wheel will allow you to carry.
