  1. Employer. It has happened to me a few times. I have been bought a new rope by them.
  2. It is a bit of a hindrance when you have a crab for rigging mind. they are good, I have a few but never really use them for some reason… oh, I know the reason. A crab on my rigging line. 🤪
  3. Tea everyday, made in the morning so it is just ready to go during the day. Sometimes I take fresh coffee and use the press for my MSR windburner. I usually just put the flask in the dishwasher on an evening. Seems to do the job. I do notice some stubborn stains in there but then on the random occasion, it comes out sparkling.
  4. I am not admin. I have never used the Arbtalk app but did use Tapatalk for a while. I ended up just using my phone browser as the mobile version just seemed to work better. Have you tried just using the browser on your device?
  5. Never used the App. I just use Safari on the IPhone and it is more than adequate.
  6. That is basically because they are classed as an employee. As an employer all kit, holidays, sick and pension should be covered. Once again the term sub contractor (subbie) is used incorrectly.
  7. I find it hard to balance but find a way. I train Muaythai on a Monday and Wednesday evening for 1.5 hours. I train BJJ on a Tuesday and if there is any energy left also on a Thursday. My son still trains and competes in Muay Thai and BJJ. Since I posted about our trip training to Thailand in 2018 he has won the Norwegian -45kg Junior Muay Thai championship, represented Norway at the ISKA World Amateur Championships in Ireland in 2019. He won his division, Junior Muay Thai, world title. Then COVID settled in. He just competed at the BJJ Oslo Open yesterday and won gold in his division. If find it difficult to find the energy some days but always feel better after training. I find the MT training the best for tree work. MT clinch is very similar muscle groups to climbing rope. I have found the two work in unison and complement each other very well. My main motivation now though is mental well being. I have trained MT since 1995. If I don’t train, I get moody as F. The other motivation is my oldest son and his training.
  8. He didn’t ask for a healthy option 🤪
  9. What’s that in your wrist Mike? Looking skinny there mate 💪🏽
  10. Takes me back to my childhood. Another favourite as a nipper was fruit scone with spread and fill with s and v crisps.
  11. Cheese. I always tell my missus, "Cheese, a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips!" Not a big fan of it myself. As for sarnies, peanut butter, marmite and banana is surprisingly nice. One of my favourite main meals that is very tasty and quick to make it Thai Krapow Moo sap. Stick some rice on, I use a rice cooker as we eat rice multiple times a week. Chop a couple of cloves of garlic and about 6 red chillis. 400g of pork mince (Alternative if feeling rich, slice some half decent beef steak about 3-4 mm and fry the same) Cook the pork mince or steak till is is about done and remove from pan. Reheat some oil and fry the garlic and chilli until the garlic turns golden. Throw in the meat and juice, mix well. Add 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp fish sauce, 3 tsp oyster sauce and mixed well Add some holy basil leaves or fresh basil and cook for another couple of minutes. Serve with rice and a fried egg. Bangkok Street food in the house.
  12. Hang a heavy weight from the belly of the chain. It will hold the chain in position to be able to sharpen and easy enough to move it around.
  13. Didn’t seem to harm QPR in the 80’s.
  14. I have always found the best form of warm up is sport specific. So I just climb and take it easy for the first bit. Once a throw line and line are installed you have generally carted a load of stuff to the tree, all potentially part of a warm up. If I have a niggle, either from work or hobbies, I might stretch a bit. When the back hurts I bust out a foam roller when I get home. I have had a hand injury the last year so have been doing a fair bit of stretching for the rehab but as a general rule I tend not to stretch before a climb.
  15. Hi Paul, I think it will be interesting to see what kind of spin gets put on the results. As far as I can see the majority of climbers I know and see on various forms of internet, haven’t adopted the working practices of the new guidelines. If the numbers of incidents reduce, what will they put it down to?
  16. I had an Audi that was chip tuned. It had extra HP and torque but had much better fuel consumption. Altogether a better package IME. Drove lovely with the upgrade.
  17. Angry Chris (the seller) is based in the town I grew up.
  18. Most definitely.
  19. Do you have an FAC?
  20. I do Muay Thai and BJJ. Slowly getting back into it after a serious hand injury last year. I have been back to MT since around September last year then Covid restrictions came back again. I started training BJJ again in February. It made me realise how much I had missed it. Now my tendons are healed sufficiently I am looking to pick up the pace.
  21. You and Stubby for the win. Both correct predictions. Missed the fight as I was driving over the mountains and remembered. Put on talkSport and Fury was singing LOL
  22. Could it be Pine Blister Rust? It hammers the SP here in Norway. Does the outside of the bark go black and dusty?
  23. @Steve Bullman Test. cheers.
