  1. Dave Daniel and Ben Rose? if so they are great lads and good trainers.
  2. That’s 39 more than my best effort.
  3. Got Kindling cracker. It’s the dogs bollox and now the missus can do kindling easier I don’t have to worry about her taking a finger off.
  4. Pardon my ignorance but is that mobile? Do you take it to the customers of do they bring the stems to you for milling? thanks. edit: I’ve just seen the wheels 😜
  5. Click in the Facebook link mate. Sverre is more likely to check that.
  6. The chain derailed a couple of times and chewed up the the drive links. Managed to get through it on the second chain that derailed, then switched to a new chain.
  7. Not really done much milling but I have murdered some great wood in the past and it is a shame the amount dumped, burnt or tipped. One of my mates out here had access to an oak log and another mate picked it up. I helped out the second mate. we got a couple of nice boards but hit metal on a couple. Managed to work around it by cutting a 3 inch board to clear it. Then it was too dark and cold so we called it a day.
  8. Getting ready to leave the house and head up the mountain for a few runs on the snowboards. The kids have been bouncing all week. We set up the new boards, bindings and made everything ready. Pestering me on a daily basis, on an hourly basis. Life's little pleasure will be when they shut the ‘f’ up! 😂😂😂

    Laptop .

Look on the apple refurb store. You can get decent MacBooks, cheaper but with Apple warranties and the usual. Certified Refurbished Products - Apple (UK) WWW.APPLE.COM We test and certify all Apple refurbished products and include a one-year warranty. Or enquire about the student discounts? They used to do something along those lines.
  11. That wouldn’t surprise me as those back roads pass through a lot of the old colliery towns/villages. It is like a time warp when you enter them so seeing a Rag ‘n’ Bone man with horse and cart is still a regular occurance.
  12. Not in Norway. I lived in London for about 20 years and most work was in Kent. Seen many a truck like that doing the rounds. I was back in the UK for a couple of months this summer ,in the North East. On the second or third day I heard something… ‘Rag Bone’ It was like a flashback from the 70’s and I went to the window to look for the horse and cart, only in modern times they were in a knackered transit.
  13. I have never seen a legitimate company have a sticker saying ‘tree vehicle, frequent stops made etc.’ Trucks like that look like they have been covered in copydex before they ram raided Halfords.
  14. That’s a did truck if ever I’ve seen one.
  15. I care mate. I told the bloke I didnt want to know how to bypass the safety systems. I just wanted a machine that was working correctly.
  16. And yet I have worked with many hired in machines from one of the largest contractors in the UK. One of the machines we had on a weeks hire to do a lot of Large Lombardi’s on the A406 near Wembley. The traffic management was very expensive, so downtime cost a fair bit. The platform broke a few times that week. Instead of providing a machine that was for for purpose, ie. it worked. The engineer / technician basically showed us how to bypass the safety features and alarms to prevent the machine from stopping.

  18. It’s been pretty cold here recently. Minus 8-14c. have had the log burner in all November instead of the Varmepumper. The temp gauge in the house gets to about 20-24. But we open the door at the top of the stairs to heat upstairs along with the air circulating system. So I reckon it’s about 21 most of the time. It soon cools over night though sometimes the temp gauge in the living room is down to 14c. Soon warms up though once the burner is going.
  19. Works great for me, especially in the rain and snow. I take two lines in the truck. Climb on one of them till it gets too wet or frozen to use. Then I change to the second rope for the afternoon.
  20. Re the original system. It all looks very French to me.
  21. I take it you are against hunting then? Are you a vegetarian or vegan, do you eat meat?
  22. Got a link to the series Andy? I am looking at a Jämthund in the new year. Got my name down for a pup. Jämthund is the Swedish version of the Elghund. Little larger and slimmer. Beautiful dags
  23. Does moose hunting with dogs come under the same? Is it cruel in the eyes of some?
