  1. Arrived today, delighted with it!!!! Many thanks Justine!!!!
  2. Many thanks for this kind offer, very good of you But fortunately Justin was able to put it on an over sized pallet, so I'm sorted.
  3. Tbh, you would have been better getting front linkage that fits on the din plate, much easier.
  4. I would be inclined to dramatically reduce the limb, but not remove it. Chestnuts are so quick to rot, I would not want to create such a large wound on the stem. I'm not a massive fan of bracing, unless the owner is very proactive and will maintain it correctly.
  5. If an employee has an accident whilst working for you, you are "liable" hence the need for employers "liability" insurance.
  6. The nearest I have ever come to killing my self was on my first craning job, be careful and if you can (as others have said) get an experienced guy to work with you on your first one.
  7. I worked on my own quite often when I first got started. When I have claimed on my insurance I was never asked how many people were on site. I would not recommend working alone through. Taking on a groundie MORE THAN DOUBLED my income, I find two people working together can easily do more than two working alone, also my groundie is only paid a wage, not half the profit, so my income is greatly improved.
  8. Not all insurers are the same. Obviously if its a condition of your policy, you will not be covered with it. Some car insurers require an immobilizer, many don't.

  10. Thats really, really nice!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I have been insured for over 15 years and never been asked for certs.
  12. And what happens if you crash your car and are doing over the speed limit?? Is your car insurance invalid?????????????
  13. This is a fascinating thread!!!! What a job!!! Not a job I would enjoy, but if I was offered such a job I would have to do it just for the experience!!!!!!!!! I hope you guys charged for the job, but it's one of those you would almost do just because its different and maybe even for free.
  14. Here we go again Please give a real example of this.
  15. Surely it has to go clockwise, as that the direction rear PTO's turn.
  16. The AA only regulate those who join their scheme. they have no power over anyone else. The government consult the like of the AA and training providers when drawing up guide lines and legislation. The latter will always advice things that increase their revenue stream.
  17. £100 already, very generous boys!!!!!!!!! http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/1694-another-free-prize-draw-winner-gives-50-charity-18.html#post442387

  19. I wouldn't worry, its part of HASAW act and has been for years. Employers have to monitor/control all potential harm/hazards. Its not talked about much as its difficult to harness it for money making, unlike LOLER and training.
  20. Doing one new unit or redoing one, is seen as a refresher. Not something I subscribe to personally.
  21. If you have employees yes, employers are required to monitor any thing that can be harmful to their employees.
