  1. I think if you used Strong timber and just cut a nice radius on one end, then fix a strip of steel round the radius that is wider than the wood, so that the edge of the steel thats sticking up from the board will bite in and hold it in place.
  2. What makes you say that mate??? Obviously some "arisings" are not suitable, but this year and the last 3 years I have been contacted in by a LA to produce chip for play areas whilst also thinning their woodlands.
  3. This thread is spot on Stevie!!! I used my lowering rope once last year mate.
  4. The picture was on a memory card I found, there were also some pic's of a HUGE Pine being dismantled, but I can't seem to be able to find them now????????
  5. It will fit. All the even numbered (1000,1200,1400,1600) mog chassis are the same, the 1600 has reinforcing plates to strengthen it, but other than that is the same.
  6. Your chip shops are dear!!!!!!!
  7. Glad your family are OK Mike, sounds bad. Really hope the numbers of dead ad injured don't rise.
  8. Builders do not normally make the planning application, they are only able to quote once planing has been obtained. With our work we often spec the work and make the application/notification. So in my view its very different and I would consider any one who sends out such letters to be lower than a snakes belly.

  11. Mines £750 up from £550, wonder if I should shop around.
  12. What do you call silly money??, I'm with the NFU for mine and it has gone up a lump.
  13. Take payment before you make the application/notification, then knock that of the finished job

  15. I was told that the gel gloves don't help as you just tend to grip tighter. I think the fact that gloves keep your hands warm (improving circulation) does help.

I bet you mostly do road side trees Stevie, in fact I bet your on your way to do one when you get pulled
  17. :confused1:But its a tiny tree, its more dangerous climbing out of my mog
  18. This is another good reason for one handing the 020, it haves your exposure And if you alternate which had you use it with (as I do) your really reducing the risk
  19. Correct. Other wise you could buy a building plot only one meter wide and then build a huge house that only touched the ground on your plot, but overhung all the surrounding land.
  20. You need to let them down a fair bit when off road, this will increase the size of their "foot print", but more importantly they will flex as they rotate causing the mud to fall out of the tread. You will be amassed what a difference it will make. Buy a 12V compressor to re-inflate the tyre once back on the road.
