  1. Changing a mog engine should be around 20 hours labour.
  2. Did you get the first price in writing??????????
  3. It tricky. When I got my first mog, 12 or so years ago, I rang the traffic police and asked about the Mway. A very nice Sargent Forest rang me back, he looked it up and told me the rules say that a vehicle can go on the Mway if it fits the following criteria Able to do 25MPH under its own power on the flat. Road worthy, IE lights, mudguards etc. More than 50cc. The confusion comes in when we talk about tractors, ordinary tractors (without air brakes and suspension) can legally only do 20MPH, so do not fulfill the criteria, but high speed tractors do. I was pulled on the M6, I was done for being over weight (in my old U1000) they said nothing about me being on the Mway. I have taken a mog on the Mway several time a week for the last 12 years and have never been told not to.
  4. I think we all do it, or at least I know I do. Although I don't think Mrtree does, which is a real shame.
  5. I see your hopping for a nice £75 profit
  6. I hear what you saying, but this really is not true. So long as you act reasonably and not out of vengeance you really do have nothing to fear from the law.
  7. Yes most places should be able to get them, I think they are quite dear, but are by far the neatest way.
  8. I'm sure my opinion is of little worth to you Tony, but for what its worth I think Rob is taking a great deal of sense. If you just tried to be a little less preachy, more people would listen to what you have to say.
  9. :001_rolleyes:Come on Stevie!!!!!!!!!! MonkeyD taught us that one years ago!!, you really need to keep up!!
  10. You want some Teck reels (sp) They are spring loaded reels that allow the hose to be pulled out and the taken back in.
  11. You got the linkage sorted then??
  12. I selected L, but my wife has just informed me I should have voted XL
  13. When doing road side trees I often find my self over the traffic, you need to watch your rope and dangling saw when wagons go by.
  14. I bet they don't do that on Hawthorn.
  15. They are talking about their needs, not the tree's. We are a service industry and provide a service to the customer not the tree. Thats life, as a tree cutter. Trees don't need us, never have, never will!!!
  16. Soil is being produced all the time, by decomposition. Some seem to be equating the removal of Mrs Miggings tree, because its past its best and it worries her, with the wholesale destruction of forests, they a very different, IMO.
  17. I'm getting worried now!!!!!!! I heard the other day that the land is like lino thats held down by the trees and the big trees are what keep it from rolling up like wall paper!!! Is this true???????? Am I going to be felling a big tree one day and it will be the final straw, there will be a huge rumble and every thing will just roll up??????????????????????????????
  18. TBH, I have only been to London a few times, but on each occasion I found people friendly and welcoming. What happened to this guy is shocking, but I could imagine it happening anywhere, there are nutters everywhere.
  19. A few years ago I went on a trip to London with a load of primary school children. One evening we all went to a part (Hide park, I think). The kids were playing foot ball and I got bored. I slopped of to a decent sized Elm (65'/70'), I free climbed to the top, I then realized I had been spotted and the teachers had sat all the kids down to watch
  20. Oh yes!!!!!!!!!! The pots that are like trees, you age them by counting the rings as you drink !!!
