    Libya

I think they may be trying to learn from thr mistakes of Iraq. When we pushed Saddam out of Kuwait the marsh Arabs rose up, but we failed to help them, he then gassed them. Its far better if we can help his own people to overthrow him. Also if the domino affect of these revolts is seen to be stropped by the dictator using force, there is much less chance of other country's frighting for their freedom.
  2. Reg is very, very skilled, but also is a really nice guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Yes I think I'll give it a go, I like the idea of the cord recoil off a Hoover, that was mentioned on another thread.
  4. I tried the small bag, but the top part with draw string ripped off after a few months. Now I hangman's coil half of it, hang that from a spare crab hanging on my side D. I then pull half of whats left through my grillon (sp), so I only have two short loops hanging down and a short strop for every day use that I can uncoil and lengthen as required. I would love a retractable one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Why????? That hiab will act as excellent ROP's.
  6. BUT, arb timber is generally much more difficult to process, so you will have much more labour than someone buying in nice small, straight timber and banging it through a processor. Many are paying themselves a very poor wage for cutting up their timber.
  7. That looks a useful tool, just a shame its not a 4in1 bucket.
  8. The first 2 pic's really look like Ash, but the second 2 really look like Pop.

  10. Spot on!!!!!!!!!!! Surely this is part of being a pro!!!
  11. Before I started coming on here I had no idea that people found sharpening chains such a chore. When I fit a chain it stays on till its dead, sharpening is literally a 2 minuet job, even a really badly damaged one only takes 5 minuets. In most cases I would say its quicker to sharpen a chain than to change it.

  14. Lol, that pic was taken back in December 2001, so at the time I was unfamiliar with what I now know to be the fine art of the lunge, I will try harder next time
  15. Except you'll possibly be dead before they decide its safe for them to enter, if the 7/7 inquest is anything to go off
  16. Not something I'll be buying, I more than happy with a round file, a flat file and what my dad calls "the rack o eye an twist o gob".
  17. Can't say I'm surprised. When I used to watch 999 I was always amazed at the lack of common sense displayed by the average fireman.
  18. Dead wood tends to be harder than green wood, so you need to keep the chain sharp, the other real disadvantage to dead wood is lack of lubrication, so its worth making sure your chain oil screw is tuned up full.
