  10. Because you live in Tulse Hill and I did too once upon a time... I will offer this advice. With enough ambition you will eventually achieve your goals, however you have left it too late in life to get all you want out of this industry.Forget the House in the Woods, the merchantable arrisings and you being valued in a company with basic tickets and no experience. Sorry to Urinate on your Chips.
  11. Is it a "Humbolt" notch with an over cut on the top? What is the advantage of the over cut?
  12. I did some in late 99 on the Scottish Borders, got blagged by the Boss over the phone and went up there expecting alot. The reality was about £40 a day, minus Fuel, spares,PPE etc. Complete joke.

  15. I have a S2 with a 3B Landcrusier engine and gear box,Rover 90 diffs etc.Goes very well.
  16. Drain the fuel and oil, leave it to sit for a day to get the fumes out. Job is a good one.
  17. If you are whacking off great limbs, what difference does a few dozen Spike marks make in the Stem? I think the original poster showed the difference between "real" Treework and the perception of Treework that seems to abound on this forum. We provide a service and that service caters to the clients demands,we should offer advice and alternatives however we also have financial commitments and family's to feed. I applaud the poster with his illustration of the real face of Arboriculture, not to mention the quality of the clean up.
  18. That is entirely one of the most skillful and gutsy jobs I have seen on here in a long while.I congratulate you and your crew who saw that one go well.
  19. Is the Kennedy family gun shy? Seriously the best boots for Spikes I have used, the "highliners" in 10" hight are the mutts nuts.Viberg in Canada make a similar boot.
  20. Two very conflicting opinions there, how long have you had yours Czlowiek Drzewo and what Boots preceeded them? I am wearing a pair of Meindal Hiking Books at the moment, the weather is too foul here to wear my Wescos.I'l be posting off the Wescos before the Xmas mail rush.
  21. Oh? Claas Combine Harvester?
  22. That does look the business Andy. How much to do that to my Chev?
  23. Cheers Steve. I will have a look at some in the flesh when I can.
  24. *Bump* I am soon going to send my Wesco's back to the states for a rebuild and I want to narrow down my choice in Boots.
  25. How are they holding up nearly 6 months down the line?
