  7. if they say the left arm is broken-what they want to see is you paying attention to that arm, not necessarily administering first aid, just not banging it about, etc.. ridiculous amount of points are available for throwline and rescue so get these nailed and youll pob do okay. and just relax, esp for the work climb event.

  14. the piece shaun was removing was about a tonne, he didnt use a flipline because a it wasnt long enough and b and he didnt want to be tied in place. a 2 inch stub caught his rope and dragged him down. the force his harness went through is incredible-the knots on the bridge changed ALOT, if his hitch hadnt of slipped under load i believe something would of snapped badly and shaun may not be here. He is a top bloke and hopefully a speedy recovery will ensue and more big tree work in te future. on ya shaun

  20. any ideas on the splice? poly kernmantle core, dyneema middle braid and a technora outer braid-im a bit lost on what to do and can find no instructions anywhere-has anyone tried it?? Apparently its a cut resistant rope and crosses the gapbetween steel core and normal rope- possibly ideal for utility guys who arent allowed steel core lanyards... but i just want to splice it:)
  21. I haven't but can see absolutely no reason why it wouldn't work
