  1. Come on tony, you must remember Te fires outside of Melbourne 2 years ago- killed a few people too..
  2. Home
  3. Man if oz took its toll on your finances, NZ is going to kill you...
  4. , I know they cost a bit and could prob get 1 splice up for less but with the original at least you have some comeback if the worst happend.-????? Seriously? Go and watch some pro splicing bro and get an order in, keep the small guys alive!!
  5. The duck and rope man both work well there but if you accidentally grab the wrong leg of rope you can advance the hitch a long long way in front of you. This can be pretty sketchy especially if the hitch decides to jot grab...
  6. the splice doesnt work there as it gets in the way when extending the system under load, you can also get the system closer to you when in short mode if you just use a termination knot. Alos the webbing sling there is a pain as you would have to undo the whole system to re anchor and so possibly drop a piece of gear. A revolver make s aheap of difference too and also lets you detach the system to move around limbs etc.. but nice clear pics nick
  7. SRT all day every day-when im not splicing....
  8. lower d's on the treemotion also help with gewtting you out of the squeeze circle..
  9. to be fair bro, i think hes after firms that people know about- not just ones that google throws, google doesnt discriminate between good or bad.
  10. same swings bro... (but Matts is better to watch). nice work mogly son...
  11. leave the ring and put the maillon through the webbing eye that the ring is in bro
  12. Yep that ll work bro. Not as frictionless as a pulleysaver but smoother than a standard ring n ring. Just be careful retrieving it as you can damage the crab- maybe use a maillon Instead? And just buy a retrieval ball, they just work better:)
  13. How come you didn't chopper it out from still standing?
  14. Heli work is pretty common in NZ
  15. thats pretty sad seeing those huge trees being felled...
  16. dunno, i still think 3 strand has its place in rigging. nice and expendable especially if your not using blocks and bollards. takes a load of abuse..
  17. Really bro? You will never break a 10mm 'decent quality rope' armour prus 10mm is over 28kN!!!
  18. I've recently been given a sterling tritech cut resistant ripe lanyard to trial. It's 11mm and sits between the softness of standard rope and Te flip ability of a wire core. I must admit that I prefer a 10mm dynamic lanyard mainly due to it being less bulky but can see how this new has its olace, it does seemtobeveryabrasionresistant and therefore more armoires against a silky cut- I def can't see it stopping a major cut though..
  19. Chuck a pic up bro of the beeline. I've never heard of beeline getting destroyed on one climb, I'd almost say its impossible! Washing it can make it into a new cord again normally. Beeline, armour prus, hrc are all stupidly resistant to heat and will melt the rope before themselves. Op is slightly less heat resistant followed by the standard poly hitch cords.
  20. if so, Treetools | life in trees !!
