  1. Not toothed cams. If you take a drop on toothed cams and tear the cover that's all the strength of the rope gone in 95% of 16 strand ropes.. And all other srt systems are really really dangerous......

  10. Sorry bro, hope no harm was done. I just find rads to be a rather inefficient way of climbing an srt line. For me it turns the 1:1 benefit of srt into a 3:1 (?) system. It's a good system and if I works for ya then sweet as

    Petzl Pantin!

    i think i found all the pantin's today Treetools | life in trees
  14. splice the big ring onto the main rope and small ring onto the end of it. use the other big ring on the smaller prussic (wouldnt bother splicing it). this will enable you to use 2 anchor points with the piece of equipment.. hope that helps
  15. I like it because it stops any chance of spiking the rope on the ascent..
  16. what spikes ya running Kane? i had bashlins and just wore the pantin on tghe spikes. ive now got the carbon geckos and will soon be epoxy resining the pantin to them. Beddes was the first guy i heard of fixing the pantin to his spikes....
