  1. ive got the BD double and the deluxe fly. the standard fly doesnt have a zip opening, you have to lift it up to get in-for me the extra expense of the deluxe is well worth it-it also has windows!. the portaledge is a brute to carry through the bush, i wouldnt want to carry it too far. especially when compared to carrying a lil hennessy. If your filming and NEED to keep camera gear dry and want to edit etc on site then the double is the way to go. if you just want to keep the camera dry, a spare hennessy may be easier to carry. If your girl/partner likes climbing trees, then the double portaledge is a no brainer
  2. hey waldo, ive got hennessy, treeboat and portaledge. for me the portaledge is the stand out best by a country mile, it weighs a lot more but is so much better to sleep in. treeboat is ok but just lacks the comfort and weatherproofness. hennessy rules for its pure lightweightness. problem with the hennessy is keeping your gear dry i find, thats the bonus of te portaledge

  17. Yeah that's rubbish. How are the other ends of the larks foot connected to each other? Why not just do it properly by a splicing, b continuos loop c direct tie to pinto eyes d steel crab or maillon????

  21. Tbh bro I'd say it's purely based on climber preference. Op, ap,beeline, ice tail, liros, rit...there all good, heat resistant cords. Some work better in the wet, some better in the dry etc but you'll find a use for it no matter what so just experiment with them all!
  22. yeah i think it probably could. the core is removed and a dyneema webbing (type thing) is inserted where the eye will be. its then buried into place and stitched closed. or at least thats what i think happens....
  23. installing an access line. Easy.
