  8. count the drive links which are the pointy bits on the bottom look on the bar and it should tell you then take it back to the shop and ask them to remove 1 drive link if still needed or send it to me and will post it back same day:thumbup:

    I have used a couple and thought they were a nice saw but think you will see issues before long I was offered them with really good deals but on reflection bought another 346 If it,s weight you see as the issue compared to the link above why not get a husky 240 38cc so more powerfull £80 cheaper
  10. Ive bought wood for blanks yep true honest but it was proper dry sealed nice quality prepared to go straight on the lathe. I have the choice of many many tons of tree wood but tbh by the time you have cut it dried it thrown most away as it,s split or got a fault in then waited 3 yrs for the damn stuff to dry maybe buying sawn kiln dried stuff aint too bad:confused1: but been slabbing some lovely spalted beech and ash in the last few weeks

  13. could I ask if it was done to see how the process works re obtaining CE for splicing or do you intend to get CE for lots of different ropes and constructions. Presumably that will cover you for all the XTC range fire, Xtc+ ect Well done and congrats are you the first in the uk to get this

  16. They generally just bill the customer if they think it,s negligence and leave it to them to re-coup the money I know of 2 instances when this has happened:blushing:

  19. used one for years till the engine blew then got a 630B which we still use. Imo both great machines. Not good for domestic but great for street tree and the bigger access trees with vehicle access. If you wanted to pm number for a chat feel free:thumbup:

  23. You can easy buy quals ie put em through you can't buy experience simple:thumbup: I would always do a practical test for a new applicant
  24. most of us have our blades sharpened but obviously have somewhere that does them. I have mine done local as just easier than posting off so depend on who does them around you and whether your aiming to get a way to attract mail order
