  9. Noticed these splits last week and got consent to remove the limb. I thought they were recent splits till I got up there. As you can see some of the splits were all the way through but amazed the limb was still up there. We had to rig off the limb and was very concious of the splits but never seen splits like these still up a tree. Has anyone else or any idea of the cause?
  10. I was very dissolusioned with mine tbh But just done 2 big trees and did not have to change saw till I was needing a 20inch bar. Certainly seems to have a fair bit more power and tbh I now would pick it up out of choice. I banged it and the chain brake came out so sent it down and they just sent me a 200t back up. As soon as I had a couple of mins to spare I asked for the 201 back. Yep does have occasional chain seems too tight but barely used any oil so going to turn that up today and see if that helps.
  11. I am still using mine on standard settings but barely uses any oil. I was going to look at turning the oil up tomorrow Other than that so far I like it a lot:thumbup:

We used to run saws till they were absolutely knackered but really found it was not way to go for us. If a saw has not earned it,s money in 3 yrs then time to sell em personally I think I would rather have the new saws that don,t let you down are better for production and your hands ect and realistically I now believe you can have a new saw and run it for 3 yrs then sell on ebay or such and you will probably have lost poss £300 and earned plenty where as pay £2-300 on a second hand one and chances are it will be a pain the but I have built many a saw back together from a box of bits and replaced crank seals ect so do know how to do them honest:thumbup:

Put money into a new saw as that one is not worth doing and put the time into earning enough money to buy it by the time you have worked out how much you could of earned in that time you would be surprised sell it on ebay to help the new saw fund. when they need a new pot they are just done imo:thumbup:
  23. more than I would pay personally i would rather have the first £250 worth out of a new saw than the last £250 If that makes sense
  24. used to be a good saw one of the better ones but 6 yrs ish ago they were replaced generally with a 372 ran some for yrs no major issues
