  5. is it that if it grows any bigger your hiab would not reach and ladders not long enough or you just want a topped tree of your own or roots getting undermined or roots damaging the wall or you just like topping trees:thumbup: how many goes are we allowed:biggrin:

  7. hopper looks very high certainly not for midgets:biggrin: but looks good and handy
  8. Hi Similar really but just to say some of the units are there for specifics Ie if you look at the pollarding unit it was just done for mainly EA guys and was tailored to just them so they did not have to do 38 39 40 41 and the felling poles or stems were for the utility guys dropping telegraph poles so what was the point in them doing 30,31 for a full week that did not actually teach them to do a single stem CS50 again is different to 34 but was done mainly for highway guys and callout guys as CS32 is not a pre requisite so again to fit a reality hole. Supply and demand really Hope that made sense
  9. basically it settles flattens and gets dirt and grit in and milks just try flexing and manipulating an old rope and then try new one or just take our word for it:thumbup: are you trying 16 strand or double braid

  13. http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/afag401.pdf 6 Climbers not using a chainsaw should wear the following: ● A safety helmet (HSE strongly recommends a mountaineering style helmet complying with BS EN 12492). 7 Use chainsaws of an appropriate size and configuration for the material being cut in the tree. The chainsaw must be started and operated in the tree in an approved manner (see AFAG leaflets 301 Using petrol*driven chainsaws and 308 Top*handled chainsaws). http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/afag308.pdf from 308 1 While no PPE can provide 100% protection against cuts from chainsaws, when climbing, chainsaw users should wear the following: ● A safety helmet (HSE strongly recommends a mountaineering style helmet complying with BS EN 12492). ● Eye protection (complying with either BS EN 1731 or BS EN 166). ● Hearing protection (complying with BS EN 352). http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/afag301.pdf extract from 301 which is ground based using a chainsaw ● Safety helmet (complying with EN 397). ● Eye protection (mesh visor complying with EN 1731 or safety glasses to EN 166). ● Hearing protection (complying with EN 352).
  14. have you read the thread or either was it not explained well or am I wrong I am quite happy to be wrong
  15. does it still look as good 4 yrs on
  16. why?????
  17. none at the moment but if im been pedantic earplugs are dodgy ground as so often they dont fit or fall out and the level of protection can vary lots I am sure for some they are better but hard one to totally justify if that makes sense
  18. where will all this end
  19. would highly recomend getting a proper ripping chain there is a lot more differences feel free to pop round but when you see the differences you will see it is obviously better and will cut faster
  20. EN 12492 is the recomended standard The old husky EN 397 was just a top impact test the EN 12492 is top and side so yes it would satisfy any climbing issues but if your not climbing it only need to do EN 397 and 12492 exceeds that so all good:biggrin:
  21. are you using proper ripping chain makes more of a difference than i thought
  22. dont think you can do ear muffs on the grivell Please correct me if i'm wrong
  23. sorry did not look just thought it was ok and decided it was a bit rude appologies
  24. on the services page would it be possible to click on the photo to go forward ie click on pick of stump grinding rather or as well as the words.
  25. I would list your email address under your address so it can be copied and pasted I do not use default email nor do a lot of folk would you like me to point any other issues I have with your wording such as full health and safety compliance:blushing:
