  1. the requirement from hse is proof of competency some will say an lantra ITA is ok some will say just experience some will say on job training But NPTC is the least hassle and standard proof of competency very few insurance companies ask to see quals:thumbdown:
  2. But is there a set time limit for Assessment and real life personally i have a competent rescuer on site not just a qualified one I would not deem a climber a rescuer till i was happy they could have a fair go. At the end of the day it,s you guys up there to feel happy
  3. Please think very carefully before using a biner as an anchor point. Certainly not recommended not best practice using a pulley or a ring loop that is a closed system fine but please dont use 1 biner 2 D,s opposite possibly but far from ideal. I have come accross this before with the thought that a hyunchie or pole prunner could then cut the strop

  6. It would be nice to get a definitive answer. I have had different responses but the ability to prove competency is the only requirement. So how do you do that? I certainly know if your not qualified to drive my car your not insured:confused1:

    Safety Decals

recon it would be a lot simpler to call in at saw dealers and order some. Mine came the next day problem solved. I think they had a minimum of 10 to order which at about 35p each did not worry me. But if you only want one send me £3.50 plus postage and will send you one:thumbup:

  20. I think it was a touch of sarcasm at the if you have something to post please clean and polish so as not to receive the negativity that has been shown having read through this i do hope it does not put folk off posting pics just to be abused If i post a pic of my wonderfully clean and polished chipper with all the nuts chrome dipped what would i get????? so how long did it take to get 300 hrs on it in weeks that is not 300hrs you sarky crew and roughly what mileage a week:thumbup:
  21. did you split one and measure the middle. P.s would you like a picture of my pile:thumbup:
  22. shop around then. I checked a well known site for that price before posting
  23. As on other thread Just helps stop it sliding round the corner and side loading Tbh I use them on nearly all crabs for ease and efficiency Even just to hold tool strop in line with one either side
  24. Not too necessary if you have a nice tight eye but can just stop it rolling round the corner which is far from ideal
  25. the next one i would want would be 41 if you want to go out as a climber. are you pre 97 driver if not driving is usually an issue. HGV is good but depends on employer some would love it some not bothered
