    Clinometer

Cheers Really wanted one I did not have to measure my distance from tree What about these. Seem the next price bracket If not will likely just stick to guessing:confused1: Have been using an app on phone but I really ought to be a bit more precise:blushing: Trupulse products
  2. Me Though I am sad
  3. https://honeybros.com/media/Brands/Haglof/PDFs/HEC_Info_ENU.pdf Anyone's used them Any feedback or suggestions for other options

    Cube substitute

What shocked me most was his cube had lasted a couple of years Love how he keeps looking to see if someone is coming to steal his idea
  5. Wonder if he will post that he received it
  6. I always think it's rude when folk post pm received and the recipient does not reply pm received Over and out Certainly a lot more posts make me wonder why folk have replied when TOTALLY a waste of time for them and the rest of us reading it.. Pm sent PM received
  7. I wish we had a northern treelife Did a course with them a few yrs ago and was spot on Just 2 far to travel really
  8. Trampolines are great So much more fun and skill required
  9. The only advantage of doing them separately is that the rescue part is a level 3 qual rather than doing it combined As then it's a level 2 Sadly costs more to do separate as you have 2 registration fees And if you fail the rescue you have still passed the climbing but 99% are done combined. I know a guy who just wanted to climb so he could ring birds only did the tree climbing part. And it's a lot more paperwork for the assessor to do them separately

  11. I dream about landing in a nice bush
  12. Are you still using it Or has it been downgraded. I had one similar and now use it for something not life support as thought I would not tempt fate
  13. Steve I would be interested if you checked to see if the carabina was working properly afterwards ie did it open because it had been sticking and not properly shut prior to this. It amazes me how often I need to clean and check them. Some more than others though
  14. When you look at the price of a new saw and then think £30 ish its a no brainier All my saws have it. Reduces white finger Keeps me happy Keeps me warm You don't have to turn them on But I do Though they only really work when flat out cutting Not from a bit of shedding here and there
  15. That's the answer Wear 3 jackets and you will keep dry:thumbup:
  16. It does come under loler and loler states you should take all precautions to prevent anything falling. I believe any auto locking crab 2 or 3 way would be the ideal. Certainly I would not want to drop a saw or even worse it hit someone. I have seen it happen and I would not allow a clip or screw gate on a site I was on Let's face it £10 to hold a £500 saw? Would you use bailer band instead od a strong enough strop If the answe is yes pls don't reply and waste my time:blushing:
  17. Superb:biggrin: I now feel inadequate and useless
  18. I can think of a few other things she would be good at:blushing:
  19. Do you have cups so you can turn the spigots off I got one of the jigs of eBay and it's ok Though I do like yours
  20. Video seems to have been removed:blushing:
  21. Will see you there Andy
  22. 5 yrs from first use is generally accepted Never more than 10 from manufacture but as previously stated you should be able to prove stored out of sunlight and when it was put into service rather than just making that date up It's all about justification. I.e a new sling could be made today and then shipped to a supplier a few months from today and then sits on a shelf for 6 months If you look at the paperwork it will usually state 5 from first usage or whatever the manufacturers allow. Which does vary ie ocean polyester 2 yrs
  23. Now that's a cone
  24. eBay it tbh Not worth much tbh If you got £100 for it all then you've done well IMO
