  1. I will certainly miss him and planning on having a few beers tomorrow in his honour. Certainly glad I knew him and wish I had known him more. Truly wish I had lived closer to spend more time with him
  2. To be fair to steve it wasn't him hahaha Though totally agree about his sharpening Maybe we should go back to the old blue Swedish flip lines Certainly they were thicker and more flip worthy though they would not fit in a bag
  3. That looks worrying Maybe worth looking differing makes as to what is better In reality more likely to cut down the length than across.. I do wonder what tests are done before they start selling them to us
  4. Have you tried to cut one? I certainly have and totally disagree with you. If you do hit it you will see the shards of molten strands and unless your pushing with an 880 then you would surely notice. Errrrmmm which would cut easier rope or metal
  5. 200t do not go through but the bar does believe me

Me tooo Don't want any of it but I just don't want to be left out...... Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

  8. Blue tongue Great rope
  9. I remember wally jumping the broom handle but not me Never been that energetic He could always throw a bundle of rope over limbs we could not even hit and the rope always unraveled and was just ready to clip on. Such a good consistent guy Never really saw him use throwlines I don't think but bet he was good with them. He mainly trained us before throwlines were invented Now I do feel old 3 strand ruled
  10. Don't believe we are talking about heated carbs? But if you do have a saw with a heated carb beware if you leave it on it will seize your saw No more than 2 mins I believe it says in handbook I disconnected heated carb on 372 but all my saws that can have heated handles have them and I leave them on until my fingers are burning
  11. Basically an individual sends a text message to the website requesting call back, website sends them a text at an agreed time that they must respond to. If they don’t respond the website automatically contacts a recorded emergency contact(s). It’s a free service giving 8 opportunities per month. Or paid service at £2 per month with unlimited use. https://www.kitestring.io/
  12. You had to lean on shovel throw golf ball in air the catch golf ball on shovel obviously damping the impact Always amazed me how he could do it every time Maybe it was a council thingy leaning on shovels?
  13. Did anyone else do the golf ball catching on the shovel? With wally
  14. I would keep your fingers and toes crossed but think your possibly going to be disappointed
  15. Certainly looks nice Nice and quite so no need for ear muffs No need for eye protection? Might of cut the stump lower if I was using it Seems relatively cheap tbh
  16. Pine I think
  17. First met wally about 25 yrs ago and a very inspirational chap that did not preach but steered me in the right direction. I feel honoured and privileged to have kept in regular ish contact ever since and I owe such much to wally all the way through my life he has been influential and there for me. I have often wished I lived to closer to both you Andrew and wally as always enjoyed my visits both personally and professionally. Please pass my thanks on when you next see him for everything and give Sylvia a hug from me
