  1. It was the SAC course i was intending on doing. it's all on hold now as i can't get the cash to Ayr by tomorrow. I've been wanting to do it for a few years now, just i've been trying to figure out if it would be viable finacialy...anyway i'm off climbing i have been quiet of late. been busy doing other things. Jamie
  2. that about sums it up then Jamie
  3. I'll be brief as i need to leave to get to the physio. I'm thinking of doing my LOLER inspectors course. I know i could get through the course i'm just trying to find out if it's worth it. Not really too sure of what i'm asking but i've got to make my mind up by the end of the week. Any thoughts anyone? Jamie
  4. i made my boss a ring ring FS, as he still climbs on multiplait mylon so his splice doesn't fit through a small ring. it does mean he cant retrieve it easily though Jamie

    climbing (rock)

it was Polney crag, over the road from teh hermitage. the shots of me placing gear were taken from a nice beech tree. I need to get out more, much more enjoyable than an indoor venue, besides i've just pulled my hamstrings tonight heel hooking a ceiling. Jamie

    climbing (rock)

oh and we were climbing as a 3 Jamie
  8. i've been able to take advantage of the nicer weather recently and get outside climbing 3 times in the last week. normally work and weather get in our way so i tend to be limited to climbing inside .....boo hiss, while good for stamina and strength my gear placements and setting up belays is the bit i need practice on. i've managed my second HVS (inside i'm hitting 6c/easy 7a) yesterday at Dunkeld. anyway here are some pics, mainly off me Jamie
  9. picked this video up off of the tree house, check the link, oh and there is no stripping just some mighty strong ladies US Pole Dance Federation | Home Jamie
  10. i'll back up Ed and Buzz, having worked with mulchers, self powered and 360 based, they go a wee bit down but they pretty much plane everything. once you have mulched the brash the resulting mulch will become ground level. if the stumps need to come right out you need to dig em out and mulch them on the surface. Jamie
  11. ok his car had no tax MOT etc but his car was still written off through damage caused by a huge lump of wood. If he'd been driving it and hit someone that would be a diferent matter. the tree outfit were to blame, the climber was in control of his actions, he should have taken it smaller, if the 'boss' was on the ground he could only shout. how many folk would know the exact in's and out's of their insurance contracts. bet the Ins companies could squirm out of quite a lot Jamie
  12. only one problem, someone has stolen a light Jamie
  13. folk pick up their dog crap in a nice black bag, tie it up and sling it in the woods / bushes, so when you are cutting the hedge you invariably find them. or my personal favorite. When the rent boys discard their condoms in the bushes. Watched one of our guys gag and retch for about 20mins when one slapped over his visor a few years back. Jamie
  14. I like it, i try to carve things at work, i've done mushrooms, acorns and well thats it. maybe it's time i need to try something else. Jamie
  15. One good reason, they snap in the wind. Well up here they do. Jamie
  16. how to be safer??? get someone else to do it:001_cool: sharp saws and walking before you can run, think through each action and plan properly Jamie
  17. SRT is way cool, i've just tweaked my system, i've made my foot loop a mini whoopie sling, i put my foot in, crank it down and it doesn't loosen, makes long ascents quick and fast. I've settled on a VT with 4 wraps and 2 braids, nice and reliable maybe we should try to sort another meet up? Jamie
  18. some nice carvings, i like the cow and the woman with the swirly head Jamie

  24. i've forgotten prussics. had to do a tree tying in old school, very slow Jamie
  25. I'll ditto mark. your first post is in dire need of punctuation, you don't talk in one long sentance so why type in one? Jamie
