  6. Machine mart over in gloucester have a good selection and were very helpful when i went in.
  7. i have to agree with Zenfordinner, i have found this on the occasions i have had this misfortune of going through garages, i offen wonder if they cant be bothered to move the stuff, or dont even think to move things, or cant be bothered if i do have to move things that are in my route i rarely put them back unless i feel they are unable to ie. OAPs etc. did a job years ago tiny back garden through the house up some steps onto main road in the centre of town, that was a nice one, the best thing was from the 2 weeks that i quoted to going and doing they laid new floor and redectorated, thats forward thinking for you. common sense ain't that common
  8. unfortunaltly this is faceless organisations for you i had a old lady phone me recently with this exact same situation, she was really very worried. On a slighty different note, there was a ceder that had been shedding large limbs, located in a town, it had shed all its limbs over the road, only limbs left were over the house! it had a tpo on it, anyway all permissions sort, and given. For the removal to go ahead, it was removed, 2 weeks laters customer gets nice letter and bill for 11 grand and from what i here the contractor got a bill as well for removal of TPO'D tree, customers phone LA, to ask whats this all about, all they can say is sorry there has been a clerical error......................muppets, all was in order.
  9. i find the Petzl swivel (large) a useful bit of kit, ........ as for the cocoon..............i await someones reply as i have offen wondered about this bit of kit.

  17. ah that old chestnut, do you go cowboy and commercial style...........................really depends on how busy the area is, pictures may help, but if in doubt play it by the book
  18. that looks like a very good bench, is it ok if i blatantly steal your design as the girlfriend has been asking for her own personally carved bench for 2 years now. you will be surprised what people will pay, by the sounds of it, like me you under valve what you can get for things i have done a few things and think cant get much for that then someone comes along and offer what i consider to be silly money, but who am i to disagree! you will be surprised what people will pay i had a friend that made some sycomore cubes just cut the sides off some logs, for his wife to display things on in her art shop no sanding involved just rough cut, someone came in and asked how much are they! sold for £29 a piece.........

    'free' music?

for downloading things, movies music etc i use http://thepiratebay.org/ you need to have http://www.azureus.com/ or similar which is a bit torrent client. only downside you have to download albums etc rather than just a song,
  21. i have a 99 2.5td d22 its go 97,000 on the clock have had to replace the starter and clutch, apart from that touch quailty wood no other issues. the problems you have heard off is basically anywhere from 60k upwards they apparently have a habit of throwing a conrod through the block, due to oil pressure issues. http://www.nissan-navara.net/ there is a wealth of knowledge on this site, (if you register more forums appear). would i buy another d22 navara, yes i would, even after all the scare mongering information i have read, keep something serviced and well looked after and i cannot see why it will not last, ( truck will probably go bang now lol) note: most unreilable vehicle i have ever owned vw golf, you get bad ones in any make model, i think due to the internet people find out more information than they would normally, also just because someone writes something does not mean its true/correct as you all know. the choice is yours................
  22. nice informative reply jay, i have a dragon fly and have no problems with it......, however i know another climber that just cant get on with it.............
  23. my 92 blade, currently running a 80 horse nx nitrous express kit, has a few other bits of witch craft fitted as well, plans are to turbo the blade hopefully at the end of the year
  24. i have a stihl carving bar, but would personally go with a cannon bar, as they seem more durable from what i have heard, you need a chain and sprocket to match, http://www.ed-robinson.co.uk/cannon_bars.html from what i can see this chap is selling the cheapest bits and pieces, as for sanding get yourself a angle grinder dust kills grinders if you have to buy one silverline do a cheap one for £13.40.......115mm is the size i find prefrible, then get some flap discs link below is the cheapest i have found them http://www.abtec4abrasives.com/flap-discs-114-c.asp they appear not to be showing the Aluminium oxide discs but they do, do them they are much cheaper than Zirconia, i sand with a grinder most of the time unless i want a really really good finish then i move to less aggressive sanders, http://www.transtools.co.uk/store/prod_2127/corded-power-tools/sanders/black-decker-ka293e-350w-powerfile-belt-sander.html you may well know this already but if you dont, charcoal is good for marking out on carvings. its a nice carving, two things in carving are a PITA eyes and feet! let me know how you get on burning eyes in with a poker have tried with a blow torch but it splays out i just paint on usually
  25. hartpury college just outside gloucester do them not a million miles from holme lacy about 25 miles or so http://www.hartpury.ac.uk/courses/programme_search.asp?RProgrammeID=70&RStudyLevelID=3 just looked at the prices.....................omg! value for money would be on a 10 or 12 week course merrist wood or plumpton college think they still do courses
