  1. not in any attempt to derail the thread, but just looking at makita saws came along this little bargin http://www.totalgardens.co.uk/item-Makita-DCS2300T-Chainsaw-I4776.html only 6.99 post and packing shame about the 3,999 price have emailed them asking if its a turbo'd nitrous snorting, racing top handle that is gold plated but painted so no ones knows, its a "special" saw......
  2. I do a bit of carving and, own such an item, used it once then put it on the shelf to gather dust, i have no problem using dangerous kit, but this thing, in my opinion is leathal, its just gagging to take a few pinkies off. better off buying a carving bar to achieve the same results, a lot less hazardous .
  3. i recently bought a replacement bridge, they seem to have made the outer covering slighty longer so it does not catch, as the previous one did, treeworker used to do a replacement dynema bridge however no longer do,
  4. A chap that i work with ripped up some electric, that had been laid down by a homeowner to a barn conversion he had done, the question was asked and under ground services sir? answer was no, computer said yes , have hit drainage pipe in a carvan van park (static home types), skimmed the power cable for street lights got away by the skin on my teeth i always ask if there are services underground,
