  1. just lost a couple of hours to finger physics!!
  2. It isn't illegal, however the TD5 and puma engines sit too high in the engine bay so fitting the wheel on the bonnet would cause the mounting/bonnet to contact the engine. A kit is available to mount the wheel on the bonnet of the td5/puma models, it bolts to the hinges and just above the bonnet catch. This makes it sit another inch or so off the bonnet and with a decent width tyre you can see less than f all.
  3. Sounds good if after it's the shoot season
  4. The £3k is guarenteed, I have just added the necessary.........
  5. EMTEC NOISEBREAKER CUSTOM MADE EARPLUGS I have some from the above company, £70 for the active custom moulded ones and they are excellent.
  6. I've got some 10" Mickey thompson Baja MTZ on 8.5" modulars. Excellent tyres and by getting really wide wheels the tyre pressures do not need to be above 32psi even when FULLY loaded
  7. You can't go out Steve, the whole UK arb community relies on you for their arbtalk fix.:001_tongue:
  8. Do these meet loler as they will not have CE markings on them? Not up to standard then as climbing lids must have mountaineering style buckle/fasteners
  9. I bet it weights 2.5 tonne with a body on it, bloody useless payload. You would only get a carrier bag full of chip on once all tools and 2 blokes are in it
  10. Congratulations, let the fun times begin
  11. Not the most portable lowering device I have seen, must be one hell of a bit kit bag you carry....
  12. Coal is currently £160 a tonne delivered by me, I sell wood at between £150 and £180 delivered depending how far it has to go and if the customer requests small bits
  13. At least 2 van loads I would have said. Also I assume the supplier is splitting these two van loads as training while you watch to ensure you don't miss anything.
  14. Thanks for the reply. After dismantling the switch box I have got the manufacturers part number. These switches are available from RS components for £9.58 each, I have ordered one and hopefully this sorts the problem. Kevin
  15. They can't stand you argos men having such superior kit. :001_tt2::lol:
  16. I think I need to source a replacement green button for my entec, I believe is is 'sticking'. The machine sometimes sticks in forward feeding mode, pressing the reverse button does nothing. If I repeatedly press the green button it resets/unsticks and I can reverse the rollers as normal. The stop bar operation is never affected. If after stopping I press the reverse button it does as it should, releasing the blue button makes the rollers run forwards without the need to press green. I believe the green button is knackered and I am trying to source one as a replacement. Is it possible to buy the single buttons or does someone know the generic part number so i can order one from somewhere like RS components. I do not really want to spend £xhundred pounds for a full replacement control box when it is only a button costing a few pounds that needs replacing. Thanks Kev
  17. Think there should be a 'Jonesie heads North' show this year as well
  18. How many more stages before I get to mog with crane trailer then?
  19. Another thought..... They did an 18hp version of this chipper, is this the 18hp version with a 25hp engine fitted? Battery in the wrong place Lack of key start on red panel stop bar different to mine roller cover missing straight bar chassis, not triangular frame
  20. I bought an entec ch25ph off ebay 2 and a half years ago and it has been perfect. Runs ALL day on £15 worth of petrol, blades are cheap to sharpen and it is light enough to push about by yourself. The entec shown, as stated, does not have the HSE compliant stop bar, would need a full repaint and probably other bits. When he says full refurb is that new bearings, blades, rollers, axle or just a coat of primer? If it is in good nick then it would be worth the £2k, then spend another £1k on the paint, stop bar, full service. In my opinion the entec 25ph is an excellent 1st chipper but if you end up with a dog of a chipper then it will be a money pit both in repairs and lost earnings.
  21. It's a giant screw stevie, as you screw it into the log it splits apart
  22. try a different office, shrek lists one in an old post that seems to receive some praise
  23. Thats a standard load.....
  24. The capacitor is effectively a battery which will store a certain amount of electricity to meet the demand of small surges or times of low use. I have seen caps blow through having too high a voltage applied to them but not too low a voltage. Hope that helps, if not try the website http://www.howstuffworks.com Kev
