  1. I've got one of those but despite paying a fortune each month in maintenance it still refuses to work. Excessive use of the 'garage door opening switch' just makes the opener grumble and whine
  2. 4793 or there abouts
  3. Bloody hell dean, you used to just wrap it around the 200T scabbard. You and your new bits of kit, it must cost you a fortune :001_tongue:
  4. You might find you have problems with the companies you sub to as you are effectively competing against your employers for work. If you start undercutting your employers to get work through your own company you might find your employers stop using you. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. This all assumes you are setting up in the same area as the comapnies you work for are based.
  5. ......for climbing. Is a 200T the best saw for clear felling - No Is the 200T the best firewood saw - No You will ultimately need a range of saws so you can choose the right tool for the job.
  6. MS 460 sounds like the one you want
  7. why include 'until productivity improves'????
  8. Overlapping posts with the same suggestion. Must mean something
  9. 110 double cab pick up? It will keep the gear completely seperate so no fuel smells etc, you can build your tool store in the back . Big enough for 6 occasionally but wouldn't recommend it as a sole car for the family. If you decide on a 90 you are going to be getting one with the side facing back seats. By law you can't use child seats on these seats if that is required and with 4 in the back there is room for precisely nothing else. You would also find if you wanted a tool store you would be removing it every time you wanted to carry the kids. Just my opinion Kev
  10. My second arrived at 12.44 this afternoon, pictures to follow. I know just how you are feeling BBB and it is good!!!
  11. Sky were round at our house last week to fix a fault. The engineer drilled into the house wall and fitted a temp anchor while he checked the dish which is only about 12 feet off the ground. If you do not giver them pernission to install the anchor they have to bring in a trained ladder footer at your cost!! I wonder how long the course is to become a trained ladder footer????
  12. I agree with Bob, no kickback from a silky. The majority of stuff I cut and hold I cut with the silky. Not as quick but safer.
  13. case if beer and £100 is my best to date but it was on a £1000 job that the customer wanted done on a bank holiday weekend.
  14. The DVLA won't, the police will along with a fine for the privilege
  15. To me a professional driver is someone who gets paid to drive (courier, wagon driver, etc), I get paid for tree work but need to drive to get to the job, I am not a professional driver so does not apply to me. Is this correct?
  16. My old subaru from a few years ago.
  17. Like you say Tom, as soon as you put a figure on it then trading standards have something to check against. If you sell 1 bag of logs, 1 van load, etc then you are not putting a measurable figure on it so no comeback. Seasoned is a difficult one, is seasoned cut a year ago, split a year ago, stored under cover or outdoors or is it dry to a given moisture content?
  18. 0.512 is 49% less than 1m cubed so you would have to be seriously overfilling your bags to clain to be selling a cubic meter of logs. See the previous thread about the 'best' way to sell your logs and stay the right side of trading standards.
  19. Agree, they have got everything from a 6" road tow greenmech, 9" tracked greenmech, 12" vermeer 1000xl and a couple of others in between 01484 667766
  20. Chugging down an ash with the 460, groundie moved the 200t without me knowing, a rather large lump of wood bounced and flattened the saw. Just one of them things. I need quite a few bits for it, top handle with triggers, possibly fuel tank, crank case (the bit with the chain tensioner adjuster). I have ordered a new one so this one will become a parts/spare saw.
  21. Could do with a 200t parts saw if people are making swap shop requests. Mine is a little flatter than it's supposed to be!!!
  22. Got a fair bit on a customers Apple tree in Huddersfield. Took the old boy 8 years to get it to take
  23. Won't be an issue if the resident barber is coming out to play. What time does the shenanegans begin?
  24. If you have an OL for the 7.5 tonner is it registered at your house? If so then it is a commercial premise. OL = commercial premises = business rates. Find out what the exact objections are, too many vehicles, noise, plant/logs on view and deal with that before you get inspected. You might get planning with improvements to remove the areas that are being objected to
