  1. I have always been told the fence owner sees the poor (i.e posts) side of the fence. Not sure it is a law as such
  2. Stevie, Someone has nicked the handle off the back of your felling saw......
  3. I get the same "How much for a ton of logs?" I ask if they really want a ton or a builders (ton) bag full "Is that not the same thing?" Trying to tell someone you only get about 300kg of logs in a tonne bag is near impossible, sometimes it is better to just ignore it, they want a bag full (their 'special' tonne) so quoting for a van load makes you look a total rip off.
  4. My missus flew out to denmark this morning so got a days peace and quiet
  5. No but I do intend to use the stuff to make mulch or store and eventually split for firewood. Therefore I am transporting for my work and not for a direct reward. If I were to then transport the mulch or logs for reward i would need a tacho Once a year maybe, it is very rare I go more than 20km from base but then I work in my locality for myself whereas you are a contract climber working with a number of companies all covering slightly different areas
  6. The excemption "Vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of not more than 7.5 tonne carrying material or equipment for the driver's use in the course of his work within a 50 kilometre radius of the place where the vehicle is normally based, provided that driving the vehicle does not constitute the driver's main activity" Log selling should be done on tacho as you are carrying goods (reward) So it does appear there is am element of distance and hire/reward!!!!
  7. Not quite that straight forward is it..... I am sure there is an element of for hire or reward and distance involved
  8. You will find that most builders bags are only about 0.6 cubic meters
  9. YouTube - Hayabusa engine in a VW Mk1 Golf! It certainly revs like a stihl....
  10. You've seen the golf advert on the TV? If you want something like a 200, that behaves like a 200, as reliable as a 200 then buy a 200.....
  11. What I meant was the 460 with 25" bar is a few quid short of £700 if bought from Jonesie
  12. Truck with NFU, car with swiftcover who give an equivalent discount if you show proof of no claims discount but don't tie the no claims to the policy
  13. If you want cheap and chearful argos do one that is adjustable width wise and will fasten to the wall to prevent it being pulled over when your little one decides to try and stand up using the guard.
  14. Mine is a class 7 MOT, I have been told that they should all be class 7 as they are over 3 tonne GVW but I know of some that are class 4 (standard car)
  15. Hicap relates to the fact the vehicle is a 3500kg GVW (vs standard 3050kg). This I beleive is only relevent on 110's. All 130's are 3500kg (double sprung rear axle). In this case the Landy is a Hicap tipper
  16. Not STT's, they are Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 265/75 R16 on an 8.5" rim Absolutely excellent tyre. I have been told the wear rate is quite high but since I have only done 12k miles in the last 2 years I am not too bothered and there is still loads of tread on them
  17. Well done:thumbup1:, now where is that 4" exhaust for the corsa???
  18. Might be time for the land rover bolt on again.....
  19. Wheich chipper, petrol or diesel? I have got all the manuals for the petrol versions (does have some info on diesel ones). Could scan then in if you get no joy from timberwolf
  20. That made my eyes water too.....
