    I used to hire this grinder all the time until I borrowed another and realised just how blunt/poor the teeth were on the rodgers one and how under powered it is. I bought a very similar machine but 13hp and use decent teeth, that is a dream. Kev

    Not sure on the original question but it takes me (plus 1) 2 hours to cut, split using a tractor powered splitter and load 1 van load of firewood, factor in 30 minutes to deliver and it means I am working at the same £ rate as when doing tree work

    I state grind the stump to below ground level. If you put remove the stump and they decide to dig a pond there and find some, you will probably get called back.

    with £250 to spend I would be buying chainsaw boots and chainsaw trousers. The list above looks OK as a basic kit but not sure on your maths for the price. The harness is £110 +VAT and you will look at £100+VAT for the rope, krabs at £10-12 each and you are at £250 plus VAT already. Look on the Honey brothers site, they list a basic climbing kit as a set for £400ish I think or ring Jonesie and take advise. I would however buy PPE and get some more time on the kit with Mick or others. You might find you are better suited to the ground (and more of an asset) with your build and strength. Kev

    Looking for some hardwood, arbwaste accepted as I won't be using a processor. Cash waiting Can arrange transport for the right amount as I have access to an 18 tonner with hiab or tractor loader and trailer for local area. Drop me a PM if you have anything available Thanks Kevin

    5 tonne dead. Put my landie on a weight bridge last Monday full to the point the chainsaws were on the front seat. Weighed 4.7 tonne. It wasn't leaving site as the chip was going to cover some waste land at the back of the site. My truck is about 2.3 tonne empty. It wasn't even near the bump stops I would think you have about the same weight of chip on but your truck will be 5-800kg lighter and the chipper is about a tonne.

    Thats the same price as buying that lot brand new delivered to my door, reduce your price by a wedge and I will take it otherwise will be buying with warranty at the APF. Kev
