  1. The soles on mine are the bit that is wearing, just looking to get something for when they need replacing and wondered if uprating the sole was one of the improvements. They are listed at £200 a pair @ zero VAT so the sole needs to be improved for me to go with Stein again.
  2. I had already read that hence the :001_tt2:
  3. you will find that unless the chipper is at an almost give away price and absolutely mint then it is more econimical to buy a slightly newer one with the approved stop bar already on it. Thats if you can find one.
  4. I assume these are an improvement over the bergsteiner pro's, if so how and where? Also is there any indication on price yet and are they VAT free:001_tt2:?
  5. There is a retro fit for these older chippers that gives them an HSE approved stop bar, the 1999 and 2000 entecs (and possibly 1998) had the HSE approved system as standard.
  6. Johnny, just down the road from Kirkburton towards Huddersfield (less than 2 miles) there is a tree nursery that has a chip tipping area. Home Ring them first, it is one I use occasionally if I am full and local. Hope that helps Kev
  7. Do we really need to know?????
  8. Doing this shows you are still in touch with your homosexual side
  9. search for meetens, they sell original equipment filters etc for chippers.
  10. Landrover if you want to work it and carry chip. Navara if you want to arrive in comfort (to the road side) do your thing and go home. I have had a Navara and currently run a 130. I would buy another Navara to run along side the 130 to carry kit and go quoting in.
  11. My 3 year old daughter shouts 'Mummy's cooking' when the smoke alarm goes off as well. She now comes to find me where ever I am and tells me the alarm is going.
  12. A good do had by those that came and plenty of booze supped by those that stayed over. Better planning for the zip wire set up next time might make disconnecting from the climbing system easier but finding a branch free route down was easier said than done. Wild boar and Chorizo burgers went down well as did Penfold's Mums home made buns. Armchair arborist had an unusual breakfast of bacon in jammie dodgers due to lack of bread. Another event will be arranged for early next year for those interested, if I can get the weed out of the pond then fishing will be available too. Kev
  13. Weather's looking good, guns packed for a bit of extra activity while I am away for the weekend. Latecomers more than welcome, dogs welcome. See you there Kev
  14. You mean Ben J, lives in Selby
  15. Yes I know it quite well, I go there with my father in law some times. I had my wedding party at the Plough after coming back from Aus. Just a few days to go, I will be going to Asda on the Saturday morning for supplies. I will light the BBQ when i get there to get a pot boiling for brews. If anyone gets a bit lost then my phone number can be found in the link below. Weather says slight cloud and only a 10% chance of rain. See you there Kev
  16. Do you want the easy life of 9-5 no evening and weekend quotes and knowing what money you are getting on a set day each week/month or do you want the challenge of finding your own work, potentially quoting on your days off but being your own boss. Can you afford unpaid holidays or unpaid bad weather days? Are you a good enough business man? That question is nearly as wide open as which is best Stihl or Husky!!!
  17. I seem to remember he was Selby area but was willing to travel for work. I wait to be corrected
  18. You found the site then. Good luck with the hunt for work.
  19. It will be on the plate under the bonnet, it should give towing total, vehicle only max and both axle maximums
  20. Which one? I might be in the wood real pigeon shooting from early on. Depends on alcohol consumption at the westmoorland wildfowlers do the night before.
  21. Booze and snooze is on hold at the minute. Brother in law and his girl friend appear to have taken up residence in the caravan. Re fishing - the lake has been stocked with trout but there are loads of water lillies and weeds in there making it near impossible to fish.
  22. Thats it. Although the route you have shown is different to the directions I gave above
  23. There is no road name but it isn't difficult to find. Like I said I will put some signs up. James, no issues re the late call
  24. The kendal bash is happening on the 4th as stated. Please let me know via the Kendal bash thread if you are coming and i will try and provide drinks/burger space as necessary. Kev
  25. After 10 minutes of thinking - No there aren't but we still all love them
