  1. I’ve been back on Oregon bars for my 560’s and 50’s ..Oregon Versa cuts light are a better balance for cutting all day , the Sugis are fine for Arb work where you probably would not notice the difference and they may last a life time but if I had two 560’s one with a sugi and the other a normal Oregon I would be picking the Oregon up at the end of the day just because it felt lighter and more in control when fatigued. I did try a few dirt cheap £15 bars that are cheaper than a sugi sprocket when I was on multiple windblow on a steep bank as it wasn’t usual to have a stump or log role and crush a bar... I’ll give it to the sugi that it took a lot to bend one!
  2. Good job [emoji1303]
  3. I’ve stopped buying Sugi , too heavy ,even the sugi lights are not light !! too hard a metal to the point it’s brittle .. I’ve replaced one bar tip three times now and any I have left in service have been done atleast once.
  4. 2511 would be good for mortal combat....
  5. I have some log picks and a 7lb axe in the cab within grabbing distance for such an occasion...
  6. Aye , blew the cobwebs out.
  7. Aye sorry mate it is and I’m not Proud ..probably should go back to my non engagement with vesp rule and wind my neck in ...too much shit going on to get wound up easily and baited like.
  8. Any way it obviously works , would I buy one probably not ...on the weight alone unless your in a bucket it looks a pita to set up in the tree and use from a harness. It does looks smooth but then that’s probably more down to the guy using it.
  9. You don’t have to remind me of anything ,you are a clueless c&£t that much is clear and I could not give a fuck about your opinion. Just so that’s clear also. If you want to know I will explain ,in the U.K. as a contractor within certain frame works we are required by our insurance companies to have our gear lolered , well you won’t because I doubt you have any insurance for tree work , but if my loler inspector say Pete Mctree saw I had a bit of Yale XTC as a light rigging line I can imagine he would be upset. I would use my old climbing lines at that most as a tag line..
  10. That was the farma crane they put on the Botex 8 t? I think they now put a similar size farmi on instead ... they will move your 2.5m length but really struggle on bigger timber and why we chose the 360, also poor out reach.
  11. Good point , I doubt half the full loads on ours are over 4t. Is the bed on the farma extending ?
  12. Aye 4 meters , you could... I would not run with it on the road though unless I had 4 ratchet straps to secure two for each bay as there would be little over hang ... and it always worries me with two bays full as you can’t see the back bay driving.
  13. Is that Yale xtc as a rigging line?
  14. Aye it’s a good trailer but the 360 can be lacking . I’ve moved well dragged some big bits with it , would Definitely like an upgrade but Wilson’s told me a 560 won’t go on that trailer... roof mount could be an option be again in thinning stands I’m not sure if a roof mount would be a hinderance more than benefit, as a forestry crane also it lacks some finesse. Basically though it does what we need it for .. that’s fresh beech in the second pic and it didn’t struggle to much with any of it maybe another foot bigger at 4 it would need dragging on.
  15. If your looking at Wilson’s I take it it’s the Botex ? 8 tonne Botex with a 360 crane is ok ,the crane will Lift about a tonne close in and has a steering drawbar and braked ,the 560 crane is usually on a bigger trailer but the crane is a lot more powerful. I’ve not had much bother with the 360 but big need cutting down to 2.5 or 2m or drag them on at 4 m and take off the bolsters , ... the bunk is 4m long. If your doing thinning work I would go for the 360 as it’s good in tighter spaces, if not and it’s more Arb work or big hard woods and softwoods the 560 would be a better choice
  16. I don’t know you but you must be fuckin mint hey, 1 in 500 ..... I have not read any words from joe saying your wife is a whore,he was having some non liberal snowflake banter and that’s how you deciphered It ,if you can’t take it don’t dish it out.
  17. I’ll tell you how I see it vesp, I was following this thread with some interest, ever since I was a kid and just got in too tree work I’ve seen many 40 year olds from many different back grounds have some kind of mid life crisis buy a big landy or jap 4x4 spend a load of money on kit and do a few nptcs .... start this is as some kind of fantasy dream job at the max I give this guy 3 years before he decides he has wasted his time and money ,usually it’s one winter before you hear the “ yeah I had an old injury and I just could not climb any more” ... when they could not climb in the first place but go around telling all there mates and customers they are some expert wonder tree guy ... or they they genuinely have an accident... let’s say free climbing or one handing cut and holding because they are pissed off and frustrated as the OP has already made a point of saying he has done some.... Before he insulted rich rule, who really is top of his game , I have worked and climbed with him and would happily any day of the week again , I think most of us would of gone out of the way to help him with our experiences of kit and techniques maybe even go on a rec climber show him some or even sub for him as was pointed out at the start of thread , this is a good way of seeing how things should be done ... surely any one who is so amazing and practical minded knows this.... This has all for me has gone out the window as I doubt any one worth there salt as a climber would work for an opinionated egotistical know it all like your self or friend here.

    MS 660

It’s a tank vent , pretty sure it sits just like that! Mine had the later black style pepper pot vent so could be wrong.
  19. Have had a couple of breathdrys and they are good .. would probs get a third. Have had the pfanner , Harkie , sips and cut n climb. Harkie was hot as hell ... I did like the cut n climb the most out of them all as it was the most durable but next to the breathdry in terms of cost and it’s a little clammy I would still take the breathdry. Any of the others where ok and water proof as long as you only wore them solely for bad weather other wise you will get about 6 months out of them before the leak and start falling apart and for a £100+ jacket that is a bit shit!

    362cm vs 562

Why any one would want a 25” bar on a 560 ! Problem is this all I want is a saw that has very low anti vibes and enough torque to keep with a 560 which also revs and picks up like one too. Think I’ll be sticking to the 562’s after 3 560’s I have enough spares hanging around ! On paper the 362 cm is a match the bog standard 362 was not when I looked years back. The most important part now is the anti vibes the rear handle on a 560 is high ! That is my worse hand at the minute and explains a lot.
  21. What an utter c)&@.. buy a decent leaf blower or move... to a desert or some shit hole concrete jungle where there are no trees.. People like him are why I can’t do street trees any more I just loose my shit by the time the 15th miserable Victor meldrew retiree comes up to you in the morning who wants to wage war on a tree because of leaves when it’s probably more likely they are more upset the tree is going to out live them and there miserable lives.

    362cm vs 562

Running a 462 already but it is a bit erganomicly challenged and uses a lot of fuel , I get what your saying pete but I would want something a little more nimble in softwood. I’m happy with the 560’s I just noticed the 462 vibration was a lot less and I’m suffering in my hands quite badly now , it’s a struggle to type this ! Can’t believe there are no 362 fans out there though [emoji23]
  23. Three quarter tonne pull for £70 ... you would be better off learning to tie the truckers hitch to pull over trees and bits from ponds. Monkey winches are beasts , designed to pull out trucks in ww2 I believe, you need two or three men to pick one up though. The large tirfors are not too bad and a hell of a lot more usable. The small rip off Chinese versions are good but have there limits... I’ve found them !

    362cm vs 562

Cheers joe, Can’t find any info on the vibration levels on the echo 620 .. specs so far don’t look great in comparison.

    362cm vs 562

No mate , 60cc class is spot on for most of the stands I work in 50cc too slow and not enough torque for felling and 70 uses to much fuel and too cumbersome shedding although that 462 is good it’s thirsty ! 560’s have been spot on I just noticed mine rattle a lot in comparison Yo the stihl 462!
