  1. Remember one of my groundies getting smashed on ketamine, he was staying at his parents and had borrowed there car and had got a parking ticket whilst picking up more drugs, virtually crash landing his step dads old Range Rover in the street.. he begged me to pay it for him or they would of kicked him out..I did on the premise he rained his coke and ketamine binges in. After numerous entertaining stories like the one where he had done loads of acid and one of his mates had fallen asleep under a landy 90 in a k hole at a rave to get his head ran over he finally ended up doing 12 months for robbing a drug dealer at knife point and some how stabbing him.. I think he would of made one of the best climbers I have seen but what was a complete liability in his night life.
  2. Had one that ran like a dream , it was very reliable..totally faultless and would run like clockwork, the other two must of been Friday afternoon jobs as they where not right from new.
  3. The left wing press could of saved it for a bit longer, they may of missed the opportunity to properly blame all this on there foes with Durham and Sunderland just starting to explode with covid cases, highest in England at the minute ?? , now with out a proper lock down and it reaching there peak in these areas it will be interesting to see how it pans out... as usual London does not give a fuck about the north could of been a big vote winner.
  4. Seems like a normal 266 then ! Have no idea what causes them to run like that though, some will run fine others could be never ending trouble from new , seem to remember venting the tank would help start on a few of the ones I had... hopefully Andrew@adw will be along shortly and solve your problem and the mystery of the pita 266.
  5. Have used Holm oak and Scots pine as well for hedging if you fancy trying some thing different.... I would plant two lines staggered at 50cm apart and plant young whips 1- 2-ft sort of size. If you prep the ground keep them watered and mulched they will establish them selves very quickly and out grow bigger plants unless you buy 6ft ready made hedge which will be expensive.
  6. It will be the rain , east anglia lost lots of big beech In the 80’s and 90’s due to drought, they don’t tolerate the dry at all , a very temperate tree.
  7. I’ll save that for future reference josh.[emoji1303]
  8. Bollocks Dave , you have not seen that foot path , metre wide for most of it and 200 + people from town coming in and using it sweating there bollox and rubbing past people is hardly social distancing , not great for the environment folk pissing and crapping in hedges with no facilities open , not good to have these people then go in to shops that people in the community are using to survive to get a drink of water after there walk... then there are dick heads coming in to keilder wild camping and having fires ... we have had no rain for months so that’s hardly a great idea, but that’s ok it’s there right , fuck every one else and let the whole lot burn hey ... then I’ve got people walking through my yard with there dogs off leads which offends me after loosing ten sheep to inconsiderate town dwelling idiots who think that’s except-able... then they are going through our gates which we have to open and my partner being a carer has to isolate for her clients so has to double think about what she is touching constantly as so does any one else in this house hold, as I really don’t want the deaths of vulnerable people on my conscious. But fuck it hey as long as they are not bored... I will say it one more time , if people could actually do as they where asked in the first place we would not of had lock down... now we have all lost out just so people can continue there jolly boys outings putting others at risk.
  9. Exactly how I feel about our fishing club , lots of people using it like it’s a recreation ground ,I have no bother with the locals using it but there are people who are clearly not... god help us if England ever gets the right to roam crap Scotland has.
  10. Best post I have read in ages on the forum , you need an award for that bit of writing Mick. Definitely needs putting up on the arbtalk face book group to be appreciated by all. [emoji1303]
  11. McConnell Saw Bench complete with guards WWW.EBAY.CO.UK All nice and straight, complete with guards. Collection only.
  12. The old Mc Connells with rocking table where not bad , a little safer than the ones apart from rough have shown.
  13. That’s arguable if your used to geckos , I used some bashlins the other day and it looked like I’d never worn spikes! You get used to what you use.
  14. What about if we had stuck to the first guide lines issued before lockdown we would not of had it in the first place. Last weekend we had hundreds of people turning up to local beauty spots that have narrow paths down ravines to them , you can’t distance on those paths and neither are any of the toilets open or pubs etc so what shops where open where rammed with visitors , that’s just selfish.
  15. Absolute total selfish bollox.. people going out in to isolated communities because they think they have the right to do what they want have really shown what total (nuts people can be. I had a fella telling me this week it has brought out the best in people .. in some ways yes but all I have seen is people using it as an excuse to push there own agendas, political or opinions , showing how they don’t give a damn by taking as much as they can for them selves ,going and doing things they should not and ignoring any advice or guidelines as they think they are superior .. sad thing is this virus is something that will never go away and probably has changed human society for ever and this is only just the start.
  16. Yep they are lethal ! Too many horror story’s!
  17. Ben I’ll give you £600 for the lot
  18. People are mental when it comes to shit saws though... I’ve seen it myself when I’ve sold them , £200 for a non running 261 ! ... even if they went all for £50 that’s still £750... just don’t forget your postage.
  19. I’d stick them on eBay , probs get a minimum of £60-100 a saw and more for stuff like the 084. There is over a grand in it I recon if you do it like that , I’ve sold a few lots of junk saws and it surprises me what they go for.
  20. The roads and streets are not littered with tons of shit from McDonald’s which is nice...
  21. Have hundreds of meters of stock netting lying around so made a few like this for house logs , only costing time and nails it’s not too bad although the down sides are you won’t get a full load in one and you have to use fresh or decent pallets or they last 5 minutes.
  22. Done a couple of 550’s and they where easy and still going a year on ,just take ref pics to see what goes where and had no problems... I usually bin the spark arrestor as soon as get my hands on one though.
  23. Convert it , no worries ... I’ve always done mine and my 550’s , it can mean a bit more wear on running gear though if your running them hard though.
  24. I was looking at the Sugihara bar catalogue and the large mount for the 372 went through a listing of load of old school saws and the 262 was not on it... those small mount 3/8’s are a bit harder to come by as I use them on 560’s and 357’s and from memory the 262’s I ran over 20 years ago so it’s a bit hazy where on small mount too.
