    But the thread is about air riffles, you cant realy hunt with a air-gun, can you? The people who own them are usually kids and they only get into trouble with them. jack have you seen the price of a decent air rifle? your looking at upto £1000+ who would pay that for a gunwhich cant be used to hunt? . i do alot of vermin control on my friends farm, including shooting rats in buildings which imo is far better than laying poison. air rifles can be very accurate and effective weapons in the right hands. im teaching my 12 year old sister to shoot at the moment aswell. only targets though.

    best thing you could all do is sell your air rifles to some one cheap......... i'll buy em :wave:. i've been shooting air rifles since i was about 11. i aint gonna stop anytime soon.

  8. i worked in it all day today. a horse chestnut takedown over a road and telephone wires. was really grim but got paid.

  10. i normally just try and work out how long it will take then work out labour and machinery cost etc plus whatever i want.
  11. i use srt a bit when working in big trees especially dead wooding. most of my work is take downs though. i use 2 ascenders 1 with a foot loop and a pantin.
  12. i dont have much need for a forwarder, but when i need 1 i can get 1 for just over £200 a day. i charge £150 a day minimum to climb or ground for someone else. the lad will get rid of the timber aswell if needed.

  15. found all sorts in trees back when i was a subbie on the railway. i try to forget those days and nights now though. found a throw bag up a tree 2 weeks ago though.

  20. my newish to me subbing vehicle/weekend car. i got it for 3 days climbing. its a V reg 2 liter petrol volvo v40................and im only 26! chicks dig the heated seats though. the other is my old P reg L200 tipper. its handy but needs a bit of money spending on it again.

  23. it depends on what ive got to do. i was subbing yesterday and it chucked it down all day. today isnt too bad but all my kit is wet and im working saturday so i sacked it off.
  24. i think the makita runs on .325 1.5 the same as a small husky.
