  1. cheers marc its my fave pic of me climbing. it was a nice days climbing on that job aswell. id just done a 3 day climbing job in 2 day so got offered an easy day and bonus to make up the week 8 50 foot trees next to a house. a bit of rigging but no dragging for me
  2. is the climber alright? i always check my own ropes when lowering, i wont trust anyone else.
  3. yesterday whilst on my way to price a job i reversed into an up and over garage door that stuck out 18" whilst it was open. needless to say the door is now very bent. i couldnt see it in my mirrors cos it was about 6 foot high. the home owner was a bit pissed. i apologised and said id pay for a replacement, £500 including the new rails. finally found the job which i got told was a large conifer, its about 8" diameter and 10 foot tall. dont think it'll cover the cost of the garage door.
  4. thats funny. i must admit i was hooked on it for a while. got told by my misses to spend less time online though.
  5. ive got a kayak. i used to use them alot when i was at school. i bought this 1 last summer from a mate and only used it twice so far. ive got far too many hobbies at the moment. i boughta kite buggy last month aswell.
  6. most of my tools are teng now. i was getting them very cheap from a mate who worked at an agricultural store. they all seem very high quality.
  7. i got back from work yesterday at about 12pm, was an easy job and we got a tip aswell. when i got home 2 tree surgeons i know who work for a big company were doing a cash job behind my house. it was only a 45 foot conifer. anyway long story short lowered the top using a new climbing line running through a karabiner. ended up snapping the rope :asshole2:. i laughed my arse off. no one was hurt and no damage was done apart from the climbers pride.
  8. I went out for a meal friday night for my little sisters 12th birthday. saturday I went to a local music festival to see my older brothers jazz band play (i was a roadie) and on sunday 1 of my younger brothers came back from 6 months of traveling so I went to my mums for a roast. it was a hectic weekend.

  14. ive not used a trailed 1 only tractor mounted, but i do think its a great idea. how much extra would it cost?
  15. i had to reduce and trim a conifer hedge today, its the only hedge i do anymore. the bloke i was working for used to be a front line reporter for the daily express. he has plenty of stories to tell and does all the clean up and makes me lunch. it's a crap job but i think of it as more of a social event,
  16. i went to plank some timber tonight for my mate who has a farm. i decided to go shooting after. i enjoy the drive round the fields as much as the shooting. these pics are taken towards the lakes.
