  6. if your not using it for forestry or agriculture then surely it should be re-classed and have an MOT, tacho and operators licence? from what i've been told tree work at domestic residence is not classed as forestry?

  8. I need another experienced climber for monday and tuesday next week. the job is crown lifting, thinning and a bit of weight reduction. the job is about 10 miles north of lancaster. PM or call me on 07814009994 with your details.
  9. give him my details mate
  10. the problem with pricing per tree is you are working out an average time. if the customer decides to just have the biggest nastiest trees down you'll be out of pocket.

  12. get a proper metal hood made, don't mess about with tarps mate.
  13. CS 38 and 39 don't cover you for that sort of work. We had to do a rope access course when we were on the railways. What did you tie into? Are you wanting to do rope access for tree work or anything?
  14. i once got pulled in my old hilux coming out of my village. police said their had been a lot of burglaries recently and it was an odd vehicle to be on the road at 10pm. i told him not to be so daft, its a rural village full of tradesmen and if I were to rob things a transit luton would be a better vehicle. i got sent on my way.
  15. my old ones were a small hodge, are they for Jim?
  16. i gave him billys number last night.
  17. i very rarely get jobs like that anymore, think my prices scare customers off. good on you for taking it on though rob.
  18. i had helper springs on my old l200, can't remember what make they were though. the pick up back is about 8 or 9 years old in this picture.
  19. how many cubes does that hold? it looks a hand bit of kit.
  20. my old L200 was converted by a company in Arkholme near Carnforth, LANCS. The company does wagon body and hgv trailers. can't think of the company name. the workmanship is second to none.
  21. it's alright mate. not much room in the cab though. its a 53 plate 2.5 diesel. the newer ones are 3l diesel which would be better. its got a great turning circle, carries weight well and is narrow enough to fit down narrow drives. i like it.
  22. my toyota dyna, just had the new back put on.
  23. my mate has a few for work and says ray mears shop was the cheapest place he could find them.
  24. i had a 125 before i got my 150. buy a decent 150 and be done with it, my 125 drank fuel and was a lot slower than the 150.
