  5. The bloke who priced at £3000 is probably bitching about how much he got undercut by. People seem to bitch if they get undercut and then can't believe it when someone puts in a higher price. Ideally I'd of won that job at £2900!

    festivals!

I'm going to rough beats in north Yorkshire. It's a small cheap family festival, look it up in facebook. The lumberjack cowboy heart break trucking co. are well worth watching. My brothers mate runs Kendal calling but I can't make it this year.
  7. Shoots bring in a lot of money to rural areas. Apart from chomping on pheasant and grouse fox and weasels etc kill a lot of other wildlife. It's not quite as black and white as you make out.
  8. Pm me your details if you can. I'm in Bentham but do a lot in Lancaster/Carnforth. Try Bergen tree services as well.
  9. I got a Hobbs. One of the main reasons was I do a bit of subbing and thought it was simpler for the simple folk I work with. Honey brothers did it at a great price as well.
  10. Have you planked it yet hodge? After paying to have it delivered and milled will you of made more than cutting for firewood?
  11. A tool like that should fill your wallet again many times over.
  12. Good thinking. That loader looks very handy.
  13. What are you doing with the linkage and pto pump Dean?
  14. Spot on, just replacing the radiator this week and a new rear tyre and we're away.
  15. My new yard tractor/summer project. Needs a bit of work doing but nothing major.
  16. If you put "test on wire core flip line" in the search function there are link to a video.
  17. Some one posted a video on here a few years ago where they cut through one on purpose.
  18. It's easy to cut through a steel strop especially with a big saw. They are not saw proof!
  19. Why do you say it's unsafe? I've run one of my 020's with a 16" bar when doing a lot of big spruce takedowns. I wouldn't want to disc down an oak with it but if you are sectioning big bits on the way down it's fine.
  20. A few pics today looking out over the lyth valley from this mornings job and then the second 2 are from Arnside knott before looking at another job.
  21. I do a bit of sub contracting I turn up in a sign written truck and my company clothing. I haven't stolen any customers. I looked at 1 job with 3 different companies to help them all price it a few months ago.
  22. And don't burn out as quickly.
  23. Quite a few lads round here use them. Their stuff looks smart. What are you after?
  24. I was hoping to be back home by 11am!
  25. Saying that I'll probably just spike up it and cut and chuck.
