  1. Got mine too - much obliged salsb.
  2. The picture on that website of the towable chipper looks extremely like a TP.
  3. Bet Andy only had one pulley tho right Carl?!!
  4. Oh my lord!! I suddenly feel very small... Amazing video.
  5. Fantastic news. Spent some time looking in to this a while ago - it can only be a good thing. For the planet and us lot!!
  6. I suppose individually you would need to assess the prevailing winds direction - if the tree had previously always been on the leeward side of the house then the buildings removal may have a negative effect. Like edenarb said, the root structure would have a big effect as well.
  7. Hi Mike - I know a guy who runs quite a big firm around cardiff. I am seeing him tomorrow so could ask for you if you like. His company is called David O'Brien Tree Services, maybe you have seen them about. Paul
  8. Er, rather embarassingly my first album was a cassette with Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan featuring the classic 'especially for you'!!! ...damn I shouldn't admit that... The last album I bought was 'Overpowered' by Roisin Murphy which is pretty darn good - and I'm hoping will make you think I'm a little bit cool afer all.
  9. I am a subbie but wouldn't claim to be able to tackle anything - I just charge less than the top whack that more experienced climbers ask for at the moment. I have done that ever since I did my NC and it has worked well - as long as you are honest with whoever is hiring you.
  10. Eh? Is that aimed at me? Surely all shorter bars on any saw give better power when cutting?
  11. Cool. No doubt it will respond better than from having a severe allround reduction. Mind you, with a euc if there is already a problem of containment at that size the problem can only get worse! Cool pics Marc.
  12. Mmm, yummy. Woudln't want the bananas and watermelons in my christmas lunch though!
  13. I prefer 12" myself - a bit lighter and more poweful.
  14. Thanks edenarb - looks like a pretty good deal I may go for that.
  15. Hey Marc - nice work but to me the eucalyptus job looks like a crown thin rather than a reduction?

Micro pulleys mean you can take in any slack in your line with one hand, and if used with the right hitch it is possible to get the rope to self-tend (ie the rope slips thru the hitch as you ascend when climbing up branches by hand but the hitch locks up when you sit back). (I think - this is pretty new to me!)
  17. I made some Samoan friends when I spent 6 months studying in Fiji. I found them to be very friendly but they sure liked a fight after a few beers! For some reason I shyed away from joining their rugby team even though they kept asking!
  18. Mmm, I love the Soreen - just can't stop once I've had a taste. Anyway, it's good healthy stuff.
  19. I don't see how you can say you're not racist if 'some types irritate me'. You either accept people as equals or not. I don't need to live in Leicester to figure out if I am racist or not - my home town of Bristol has plenty of immigrants that are doing lots of the jobs us white folks think we are too good for. I agree with you about integration though - any foreigner should try and fit in where they live by speaking the local language etc.
