  1. What about for compensation if someone crashes in to it/sets fire to it/maliciously damages it etc?
  2. I love my buffalo but there is no way I would wear it to work - too expensive to rip up and too warm to work in. Nice to wrap up warm at lunch time I suppose. Wore mine nearly all the way up Kilimanjaro - was good and warm until about -20deg.
  3. Very nice as usual Matty - I really like your reductions.
  4. I think mine was about £45 for the line with snap hook and another £20 for the micro-grab.
  5. I have a yale 3m wire core flipline with an ISC micro-grab on it. It's bloomin' marvellous - the snaphook is super easy to quickly attach and the micro-grab works fine on it too.
  6. Blimey! Nice pics. How was the customer in regards to your report? Were your caveats enough to cover your ass?
  7. dammit ed, just trying to wind him up!
  8. Great pics ben - looks like all went tickety boo. Never done a crane job, respect to you man!
  9. Where's it supposed to sit?
  10. Cool, in that case I don't need to buy one after all. The mango shall live on!
  11. 'we'?
  12. Ha, nice excuse! Apart from spiking live trees, I still wouldn't advocate lone climbing. All it takes is a rope stuck on a stub below and how you getting down?
  13. Congrats sir! Hope your first job is a good 'un. Let us know how it all goes of course.
  14. There are some nice looking Black Diamond lids on Treeworker.com - does anyone know if there are compatible with visor and muffs etc?
  15. Is it 3 years? Mmm, in that case I need a new one too. I have the vertex vent at the moment in a very fetching mango colour. How does the Kong magic compare? BTW Peter, don't you find black helmets a bit hot in the summer?
  16. Thats because it is AIE (Aboricultural Info Exchange) not AEI. Easy!
  17. Cool, nice one Adam. Nice pics - except the middle one which is a little bit boring if I may be so rude. Looked like a nice tree.
  18. Superb!! Thanks Angus.
  19. at least that made sense.
  20. You can say that again!! Today one of my mongoose 3 way krabs stuck closed. Luckily it was just on my saw strop and not on my lifeline. Admittedly I haven't climbed on it (therefore looked after it and lubricated it) for a while, but I was shocked at how difficult it was to undo. Took me about 5 minutes working at it on the ground with a bit of chain oil to help loosen it. Has this happened to anyone else? I guess I can't really blame the manufacturer as I haven't maintained it properly but it was certainly an eye opener on how important it is to look after your krabs.
  21. I make it a hatrick!
  22. And not a very good one either. You are obvious dude, whoever you are!
  23. All the best, hope to hear the good news soon.
