  8. Bleedin Hell What can you start with Or what should you start with either way A good understanding that being a good tradesman does not a business make !! After that A means to get customers then a means to price up & then ameans to get paid as for kit Afags might give you an idea of the implementation & then backwards engineer the kit to suit the type of job you intend to take on SO if aerial need climbing kit & rescue kit Something to cut stuff with some means of dealing with the arisings you've just made I started with a flat bed merc van ,some aerial kit & a 230 & not much else Buy what you need when you've got work for it & not before Whatever you earn dont expect it to be all year round & make sure you've got enough £ in the bank from november to see you through untill march.
  9. Hi Ya Matt hope things are good for you mate !! as for this Yep I'd go for it Does it directly bring in work well maybe not ... however We did CHas THen I did the Constructionline then onto Iso 9001 & did look at 14001 & 18001 I'll come back too Okay the main benefit of these is it helps you to order your in house systems, one leads to another , they aid Pqq as are often pre qualifiers man gain is you streamline your procedures & it highlights potential weaknesses Constructionline is better on the pocket than Chas , the one thing that grates on me with chas is you go through the annual audit pay your money to be compliant & then have to pay again to be accreditated ie you can use logos & get a certifiate once thats it place you can move onto others. Loved the results of getting Iso 9001 but boy is that a chore !!! A serious head feck not that we werent too far away but its the checking & double checking to make sure your bomb proof the mantra Can WE prove We do what We say WE do Paper trail Looked at 14001 thats more about what you do with your printer cartridges Etc imo so NOT THAT bother Ta & 18001 the Chas is ample to deal with that but one or the other horses courses the next one im doing is H&S Iosh well just finished it fingers crossed havent had my results in yet !!! ANy more Q's give me a bell you've got the number always happy to chat Iain

We put three of our guys through it . recently £1200 + wages + loss of turnover for a week JOY !!! you may feel somewhat at a disadvantage. however I can see a reason behind it . not too sure it works as it was designed due to other Eu drivers ability to come over & drive on Uk roads but you should find you learn from your course

  24. But where would the a court/tribunal go for info the manufacturers ................ as it is highly unlikely that a piece of equipment could be reliably presented or tested that could be relied upon against all reasonable doubt as to be an accurate demonstration of the equipment used by an employee, whom may be seeking damages / compensation ... therefore they go to the manufacturers data ..
