  1. about 5hp on the matador.
  2. Hi Burrel, My chipper is awsome, 42hp aircooled, 8 x 12 inch infeed, 18 inch drum, super compact and a whopping 12 inch dia. infeed roller to crush material into the cavernous mouth - but I cant afford to put it into production (yet!)
  3. Ask Buzz on here, he has one on a forwarder. Personally, I much prefer an american shear on an excavator...
  4. Sort of Dealer. I dont do a lot with it, but I am the official importer, so I can get machines with a hefty discount. I also have access to buy 'bare chassis' machines, and chipper modules on a weldable skid, for the type of project you want. None in scotland, but several just across in Northern Ireland. PM me for contact details. Heres a forestry package machine working on biomass production - http://www.dynamicmfgcorp.com/video/585.wmv
  5. Biggest Hiezo chipper on a 3PL is the 6-300, 12" high x 24 wide. after that your into maybe a 8-400..? 14" x 30" machine. I can get the Dynamic chippers from the US in any format you want, but I would recomend a 500 series machine (22" x 35") in a skid mount, so you can engineer it yourself onto your trailer. If you want to know if its any good, a few of the guys on here have seen mine working, (ask Buzz / Mat)and I can take you to see one working with 275hp, fills an artic chip truck in under an hour.

Your right. And I can get more chip in the boot of the Aston.
  7. That picture was taken after he'd had to do a days climbing for me:001_smile: I think he deserves the easy day AND the stolen butties after some of the days I've subjected him to

Yeah. us bosses are loaded eh? I have trouble deciding what to take to work in the morning, the Porsche or the Aston
  9. I suppose they're heavy because of all the driveshafts, beams, diffs and hubs. also all the plating to carry it. I had to replate all the front of mine, as it cracked badly. An ordinary drag trailer is fine for any tree surgeons needs.
  10. As far as I know, the 'big' Hiezohack is £70k, so what capacity are you looking at for £25k? My only reason for asking is I can supply a competative machine at much better prices.
  11. What capacity do you need, and how much do you want to spend?
  12. I had a Timberliner 8000, but I had a loglift 51 crane, not a crappy botex. More hassle than their worth, very heavy trailer with no reverse on the drive...
  13. Do you practice being obnoxious or does it come naturaly?

    395xp or ms660?

    Cat Felcher
  15. Andrew Holmes machinery in Ruthin, North Wales, does the best range of grabs and rotators for any size machine. best prices too. Phone 01824 750 487

  17. Hey mate, wind your neck in. You dont know Dave, or anything about him. He's suffered a serious setback, and you come on here calling him stupid? Your comments are not in any way 'advice' or 'helpfull' or even positive. Just a bunch of insults. You might have more experience (although I very much doubt it) but you clearly have no manners, and your people skills are nearly as good as your spelling and punctuation. Wise up.
  18. I have one, but it might be a bit too nice for what you need it for. Hitachi EX135 UR fitted with GV14 rotator and grapple.
  19. Glad its not just me that sees the media promoted climate of fear.
  20. Mr Ed

    395xp or ms660?

Only girlies and soft poofs use a 660. 395 is a much better saw.
  21. Thanks Mark, I knew that there was the occasional downrated V6 240hp about, but the later OM366A would be fine? Dave, apart from a few ancillary placements, the engines are identical.
  22. Dave, Bad luck mate, I guess this will be a real blow. Do you need to borrow a truck to get you by? would you not be better off sourcing a good used engine from an 1824 merc truck? after all, the truck engine is already running at the higher power rating from the factory/
  23. Its the shock loading that kills them. Those Warner clutches are realy designed for hydraulic pumps with a more linear load.
  24. Can you send me one too? I'm fascinated...
  25. Poor P***. Just cause he cant get online and defend himself. Mind you, when I hired him he spent the day shivering and vibrating from some dreaded lurgi.
