    I've applied some awsomeness instead
  3. In a polite fashion - Bollocks. The onus should be for the HSE to seek out us to get our opinion. Arbtalk has probably the greatest amount of easily accesable industry opinion, so why are the relevant organisations not participating here? why should we have to go seek them out? I also take umbridge with the post about Powerline cutting contractors. Utility arborists are the safest and best health and safety organized in the industry. We HAVE to be, as we get audited every 2 - 3 weeks.
  4. Am I to assume that mine arent 'proper' conversions then?
  5. Thanks chris, how do they work? got a link?
  6. The tracks do wear, but it helps having he chipper to push when overtaking. With a full chip box, she handles like a ruptured duck, but I'm putting them both in for extra heavy duty springs and uprated anti roll bars soon.
  7. I'm pretty small scale. I suppose I hadabout £80k's worh of work either put off or cancelled this year. Made me think hard about what we were doing, so I decided to concentrate entirely on the Utility Arb.
  8. seems to have gone very quiet. We had several large felling jobs lined up for autumn and winter, and they nearly all got cancelled.

Proper sparkling claret that was. I was quite upset with having to part with nearly half a pint of it.
  10. No work for the big toys any more. Forwarder long gone, need to sell my excavator now really.

Bad poke up the nostril by willow epicormic. VERY painfull.
  12. Yeah, I sold the old bodies and cranes. I was tempted to sell, as I got them at such a great price, but right now they are earning me more consistently than any of my big kit ever has.
  13. Some more. If anybody needs a body for their chip truck, I can pass on the details of the guy who did mine. Those bodies are steel framed with alloy planking, barn doors, under ram, all built and fitted for £1150...
  14. Some pics from the last few weeks.
  15. Mossberg 930. Niice.
  16. Found message. I use Bob Francis crane hire, but that will cost you in travel. Otherwise, try Buckleys crane hire in Aberconwy

Top hole. And a postprandial cigar!
  18. I made up a new saying today when a willow epicormic poked me up the nostril, puncturing my sinus and poking me in the eye internally. It was something like AAAARGGGGHHHHHH!F*CKINGHELLARRRRRGGGHHGHGGGGGF*CK-F*CK-F*CK ARGGHHHH! It only works if you spurt about half a pint of blood everywhere at the same time though.

We need some awsomeness to sort this out
  21. I think that the price will go up - but will manufacturers compensate with a drop in prices? thats what I wonder... Being as I wont be buying a new chipper in the near future, its pure conjecture.

Somebody left the zip down on the trousers of time, and I fell out the fly. I'm now stuck in my own singularity, outside of time and space.
  23. I wonder how the pound vs euro exchange will affect the price of these german chippers?
  24. At least its decent food at tebay... Sorry I missed your call today Matt, I was busy gushing blood everywhere.
  25. Whats the big deal about a Jensen Website? Theres been a proper one up for years - http://www.holzhackmaschinen.com/
