    Teabaggin'

    sounds like a plan
  2. I could bring another 5 or so.
  3. whereabouts in North Wales?
  4. I agree. Plenty of tree firms out there buying nicked gear, the temptation can be to great...
  5. I appreciate the point your making, but right across industry, various highly valuable products are classified as 'waste' before being recycled. One of our highest value recycled products: Steel - is still classified as waste whilst it is transported to a recycling centre. Maybe the the licence should be re-named as a 'recycled products carriers licence'?
  6. Both are equaly good as chainsaws, with stihl probably pipping husky on durability. I prefer Husky as they are better looking and a nicer colour than Stihl. I would be slightly embarassed to take a stihl down the pub for a drink, whereas a Husky is always welcome in all types of company.

    Railway Work

Depends on whether your climbing or just doing ground based work. Either way you will need a PTS.
  8. Nick Rivett eh? there's a blast from the past... He convinced Bandit to send over 50 or so chippers on a sale or return basis. He sold the lot and never paid Bandit. I met him out in Australia where he was building an identical chipper to the bandit. I believe A Lopa had one...
  9. Probably. They're all much of a muchness. I like a BIG infeed system, and the greenmech comes closest to that. What 'small' chipper on the market has the biggest infeed?
  10. For what its worth, of the small chippers the greenmech safetrak is probably the best in terms of price and performance. Apart from that, a huge US built drum chipper on a heavy duty steel tracked chassis would be my choice.
  11. Yorkshire aint the north west though. If the yorkshire lads want to come, fine, but they need to expect to travel a little further...

  12. Soldiers live and die on the battlefield, and I have little 'sympathy', as thats what they signed up for, and barring invasion, most of them are fighting for big business rather than 'freedom. HOWEVER... I think it is absolutely appaling the way these men and women are treated upon their return. Yes, they signed up for the job, but they deserve to be looked after once that very nasty job is complete. The suicide rate amongst ex combatants from the Falklands is horrendous, the suffering many troops are going through from Gulf war syndrome, Exposure to Depleted Uranium shells et al - all points to a gross lack of care and respect from the Government. Is Food, shelter and understanding counselling that difficult to provide?
  13. Gordon Browns been robbing me for years. As for tooled up burglars, all the better for me as I can then justify killing them in self defence.
  14. to far for me mate, flippin miles away.

  15. How about a seaside visit to North Wales?
  16. been very sunny up here all week, blue sky's and frost. No traffic to hold me up on the roads as I drive past the shadow of Tryfan and Snowdon, and on up through the National park... We cope very nicely up here thank you very much:001_smile:

    Teabaggin'

Has to be one of these for me, and no sugar. Like Rupe, I always carry a little stove. Usually a small propane cylinder and ring burner, and a good kettle.
  18. 2 weeks minimum off for me, but my guys will be working most of it if they want to. Might take the kids to centre parcs in sherwood for a week, or rent a cottage away somewhere.
  19. Sorry to hear about this Patrick. As if we dont have enough problems in this climate...

    Iveco Daily?

Yeah, the Flash website is crap. Nobody knows the price yet, I've spoken to a few dealers and cant get any idea. I'm guessing £35k...
  21. They are about 35p new. I will be generous and give you £1 for it...
  22. Mr Ed

    Iveco Daily?

    Yeah Baby! 4x4 Beefcake!
  23. You dont want a manual Dave. You want to sell that unit to me
  24. Mr Ed

    Iveco Daily?

65 is 185hp in standard form now...
  25. Mr Ed

    Iveco Daily?

I cannot rate these trucks highly enough. All the features of a proper lorry (C chassis, heavy springs, big power) in a small package. I lust after the new 4x4 version. Just be aware that the 50 13 is a 5 tonner and as such will require an O licence...
