  1. So do I take it he now has a permanent job lined up with yourself?

  3. And would probably be capable of bursting your eardrums without any artificial amplification.
  4. I'd run it off a steam engine. If I point the discharge into the boiler firebox of the engine, I wont have to take any waste home.
  5. Here's one of my ferrets -
  6. Thanks Dave, although it would have to be scrap value only... Would'nt want the engine either. There's definately a touch of the sadist to me. But that probably was'nt what you meant
  7. Exenco gravity feed drum chipper, 40hp ford industrial diesel engine. I have been after one to restore for a while if its cheap enough.
  8. Here is Lord Nelson Farquhar Tarquin Bedfellow the 9th. Handsome fellow, fine gropples and a good sense of wooze -
  9. On the subject of taperlocks, I have had to whack them with a big lump hammer before now, they can almost weld themselves together. Heat is useless as you get heat transfer between the surfaces. Very hard to break though, so dont worry about clouting the taper lock good and hard. Shame you bought bearings already Mike, I could have saved you a fortune
  10. I would go with TC - just based on the video's I've seen of his excellent work.
  11. Ive not played with a palfinger before, very impressed with the build. I did notice that when pete lifted that big log, the pressure guage did'nt go that high before the warning system cut in, so its probably got more lift in it (especially if I 'adjust' the pressure relief)
  12. Wrong. Its at that point the DOG needs to be worried. VERY WORRIED!
  13. Shucks. I thought it was an identical model. Pete's is the 9500
  14. Hmm. 12 gauge round administered to dog will instantly stop problem with runs.
  15. You could... But Peter's crane is the same model as yours:001_tongue: (yours may have more extensions, but his truck is bigger and more powerfull than yours)
  16. nothing like peters then?
  17. [ame] [/ame]
  18. ha. for the most part Lee, you have terrible taste in music:001_tongue: but we agree totaly on opera, and maria callass in particular:bowdown:
  19. Its the truth though.

  21. Bad industry to get into at this point mate. Credit crunch is biting hard in a lot of quarters. Having said that, as an ex forces man you will have several advantages, like self discipline, good work ethic, responsible attitude etc. Be prepared to relocate if you want to get a job. Hoofin!

  23. Did'nt need to. Its still here
  24. in short, NO. The obsesion is not with safety, rather its an obsession with legislation. I would not wear protective pants unless it was a legislative requirement. The last thing I want is some all over ballistic nylon suit - if you need one, you should'nt be allowed to use a chainsaw.
  25. lets just say another deal like this wont come along for a good long time. Crane and truck are absolutely immaculate.
