Cool J. I see we share a taste for alan moore... do you have V for vendetta or The Lost girls?
  2. Sorry mate, just reread your original post. I thought you were putting in a price for felling Nice timber though. How do you plan on extracting it? Looks like a job for a timberjack...
  3. Yup. And sixteen candles, and pretty in pink, breakfast club, cant buy me love etc. I always was pretty shallow
  4. The Greenmech has excellent ground clearance. But like the schliesing lift track machine, if you push the tracks out, the infeed is 4 ft off the ground.
  5. Mate, You do realize they are going to want a price for what you will pay them... No way a parcel of 10 acres will be going for any less than £15 a tonne standing.
  6. Great retro synth pop from Greece - Marsheax [ame] [/ame]
  7. Thanks Logger. I was getting £38 a meter for good Douglas sawlogs 10 years ago. If there was enough to justify an 8 wheeler load, I'd come down for them. (provided they were felled properly...)
  8. Good old Tongy! always gets great dance exclusives.
  9. And featuring the amazing Beth Orton on vocals...

    Batman

Ha. You say that, but Rorschacht in The Watchmen is meant to be Batman.
  11. Um... there's probably a few quid in them standing... How many of them are there?
  12. From the album 'Architecture & Morality', a remix of the track 'She's Leaving'. Uses a collage of all the album art they used - [ame] [/ame]
  13. I was a big fan, saw them Live 4 times. still have all their albums on vinyl. I prefered their more album based experimental stuff than their commercial records. Who could forget this? [ame] [/ame]
  14. Could we have an explanation of the advantages of TW's track hieght adjust system?

    Batman

Keaton effectively captured the duality of Bruce Wayne / Batman. Jack Nicholson is wank as the joker, and tim Burtons direction is overblown. Christian Bale is the best Batman so far.
  16. western red cedar?
  17. Orchestral Manouveres in the Dark were from Liverpool. And this was much better than 'so in love' [ame] [/ame]
  18. Zoiks guys, burn douglas fir? Its one of the best timbers we can get. Sell it as sawlogs.
  19. Good man! Classical is a whole new world of food for the soul. Much like contemporary music, there is good and there is bad, and some that will make your hairs stand on end and cry tears of joy.
  20. was one of my favourite films in my teens.
  21. Your not convincing me. You have to set up the MEWP, and still position the basket for every cut. I never seem to struggle for balance, but maybe thats just me? Even with the mewp, you would still have to tie off every branch to guarentee not dropping anything - and you've just added the base of the mewp as an extra target to miss. And why would I not be wearing spikes? I would not find the work positioning a struggle. There is a big difference between a crane and a mewp. with a crane, you can guarentee nothing will drop as you are ensuring that ther is no chance of the anchor failing. You can also pick the pieces and set them down 100 feet away if need be, right next to your chipper. You might be slightly faster with mewp than a climber, but you would be much much slower than a crane. I could do all 4 trees before 1pm without straining myself.

  23. I think I set a pretty good bar with my pine video...

    lady drivers

If you liked the music (I hate it!) heres the original. This is my kids favourite movie of all time - I have a very soft spot for it too... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eyMbf-Y4m0&feature=related[/ame]

    lady drivers

:dito: My wife drives me about whenever we go anywhere to give me a break. She also insists on driving any piece of machinery that comes into the yard. I'd just bought a 35 tonne tubgrinder a few years back, I had a double drive Renault Magnum tractor unit to tow it. I left in on the lane to come in and have a cuppa. My wife sneaked out and drove it into the yard just to show she could... That was a bloody funny compilation though. I think there was more than 1 female driver... the card machines on barriers are a classic female problem. The funniest was the petrol pump pipe.
