  1. 65ft.
  2. Larry, when are you on leave? I need someone for fag rolling and tea making. Possibly even some tree cutting
  3. LDV has a more spacious (uglier) cab, heavier brakes, proper truck front axle with kingpins, bigger clutch, heavier back axle with lower ratio (slower but pulls better), heavier springs. Transits are faster and smoother, but dont take our kind of punishment well. What would you recommend instead of either of these dirty, slow, loud cheap vehicles?
  4. A clatter of LDV's. Which is not really fair, as the venerable LDV is the best budget truck you can buy, and is significantly tougher than a transit.
  5. How about putting your brain in before posting?
  6. Yeah, I bet they loose a lot of sleep worrying about how they'll never be as famous as Led Zepplin. Got any other incisive witticisms to share with us? Edit - the cure have been consistently producing music and selling out shows for over 30 years, having sold over 30 million albums worldwide. So I think they probably dont worry about Led Zeps kind of fame....
  7. Barry, There is a BIG difference between the Boxer and its larger articulated brothers. Interestingly, CFS loaders are now sold in the US under the boxer brand
  8. Call Peter in Strathaven on 01357 440433. Tell him you spoke to Ed Thorman, as he has some excellent ex-demo deals, I believe he had a GT45 with full cab at a very good rate. He keeps a huge selection of machines and parts, and gives superb backup.
  9. 'sometimes used to try and catch her, but never even caught her name'
  10. John, the multione is available with a full ROPS / FOPS cab.
  11. Dont knock it Dude. The Cure totaly rock.
  12. I LOVE that little boughton crane. Absolutely superb for treework. Wonder where I can get one???
  13. Yes, it will work fine, just tee off the supply to the valve chest on the chipper. no need to remove the belts on the chipper either.
  14. visual double entendres. Very funny.
  15. John, Have you looked at CSF Multione? superior in many ways to the weidman loader.
  16. Why the negative reactions? Its just a piece of scripture set to some very twee pictures, with Pachobels 'Canon' played on a nasty synth.
  17. World demand for paper has dropped dramatically, meaning Shotton paper mill is using far less power, ergo they are cutting back on biomass supplies. Jenkinson's are the ONLY people who can haul into Shotton, so they have a monopoly on haulage. They might tell you £18 a tonne delivered in, but then charge you £15 a tonne haulage.
  18. Gosh that was close. Nearly got my 15 minutes of fame !
  19. The Kesla works reasonably in Finland on its home market in conjunction with silage trailers as chip shuttles. Scandinavia's forests are generally very flat, and quite significantly better managed than the UK's. Harvesting residue's are stacked as secondary produce as the harvesting operations are carried out. Often the terrain chipper will only chip into its bunker whilst one of its shuttles is away. It means the chipper can be working continuosly. John, what gives you the impression that the chipper is the slowest link? Its the transport to trackside that takes the longest...
  20. I imagine your new 6x4 Iveco makes the mog look like a toy... Finding a good used Z crane is very difficult, sweden or finland would be the best bet.
  21. Ummm, yum, V Kran Z on the first, Loglift 130DS on the artic. Very nice!
  22. Well your in the penis extension thread.... Not sure where the others are.
  23. Penis extensions. Vital stuff!
  24. Hmm. Prefer the 6 wheeler and Drag outfit to the Mog Nice crane, I used to have an 890 on an FL6.18 Volvo.
  25. Let us know how you get on with them!
