  1. 18XX. 275hp John Deere, same model as was displayed at the APF. I'm not going to get into a Dynamic VS Woodsman debate here apart from this - If I wanted the better chipper the conehead wins by a mile - but currently, the woodsman is available in far better configurations, and has far superior dealer backup.
  2. Clear laquer eh? and there was me thinking it was spilt hydraulic oil
  3. poop. what can we grumble and whine about now?
  4. Thank you Bob, I'd hate to disapoint my fans Had a lot of interest and offers, but I also seem to have been using it a lot, so I've ended up keeping her. Stripe yes, alloys no. I'd love to get super singles in that rim size:001_smile:
  5. Thanks for that Woodpicker, the 'naff' truck you refer to was mine, and most certainly was NOT an ex council bin wagon. IMHO, apart from the 4x4, it looks just as good if not better. Do you try hard at being an abrasive moron, or does it come naturally?
  6. 7500kgs. I've been looking for one for ages now.
  7. excellent. I have no issue with speeding penalties per se, its the way they are used as a sneaky revenue generator that irritates me.
  8. The body on that 814 is way too big. Fill that to the brim and you'll be about 1500kgs overweight.
  9. sodomy non sapiens!
  10. Nill desperandum, Nunce et bibendum.
  11. Thanks Mike! I'll pop over and grab it tonight
  12. Did'nt see it. Was it the usuall pikey's?
  13. Thanks for your kind offers guys, I appreciate it. I wont know till next week if the insurance will cover it, as I did'nt have it specifically covered - although my local agent says I should be covered under my all risks tool cover (thankfully that policy goes up to £10k). I'll be in the office tomorrow sorting out serial numbers etc.
  14. I offered your body parts but they said that would only get me a robin reliant.
  15. Stolen from Mile end Services, Oswestry, Shropshire, last night. The lads worked sunday clearing the vegitation on the service station demolition. The starter motor packed in, so it had to be left. Left in a secure compound next to a travel lodge with 24 hour security. A couple of Irish tinkers asked about security at the desk, and the stupid moron told them that his cameras did not cover that area. They also took an £80k set of demolition shears weighing 4 tonnes, a dumper, a roller and my chipper. Obviously proffesional theives. Jensen 528 tracked, 2004 with 1100 hours, broken ignition switch and a duff starter motor.
  16. I've looked for years for a 4x4 Vario, to no avail. I'd give various body parts to get my hands on one.
  17. If its undercover and dry, a small scale pellet mill will pelletize it into a high value product.
  18. no mate. its just a little van, I would'nt use it to tow anything significant, I have plenty of other serious vehicles to tow stuff with. The torque sensor purely senses when the front wheels have lost traction and feeds power to the rear wheels as it needs.
  19. 2.0 litre HDi engine, goes well. No hi lo range, its a torque sensing system, works very well. They are built by D'angel, a company thats jointly owned by peugeot citroen, so they come with full factory warrenty.
  20. Here she is -
  21. whover thinks that burning is quicker and more efficient than chipping is using the wrong sized chipper. I like burning, especially big piles of dried rhododendron, but for 99% of jobs, turning the chipper on is much quicker than starting a fire.
  22. er... it got better!
  23. might have
  24. Mine came from Maun motors, and yes I paid nearly £9k for it several years back. It was absolutely immaculate, had the turbo engine, 36k on the clock and proffesionaly resprayed in white. I foolishly traded it in for a 1717 4x4 Merc. Ended up in Scotland somewhere. I now run a Peugeot Partner 600 4x4, which is a really nice little 4x4 Van.
  25. Nice Andy. That green National Grid one was identical to mine, except mine was a swb.
