    Chipper Hire

The advert our looking for is AC Price Unimogs, but I dont think the the hire includes the power unit.
  2. They sure do - Imperial aggression, an infantile geopolitical view, snatching of vital resources, totalitarian domestic control, extraordinary rendition, torture centres, bullying of other sovreign nations. As far as I'm concerned, America has very little to offer the world.....
  3. Boots, appreciate the video you posted. However, the video with the chainsaw is about as 'real' as it will get. The laboratory chainsaw was running slow, with minimal torque. The chainsaw used in the 'home made' video was running as it would in real life.
  4. Bollocks Tim, and you know it. Al quada is a fabrication of the US foreign intelligence services. A bogeyman created to terrify a public into supporting an illegal war and invasion. Afghanistan was invaded to give the US full access to the caspian sea oil reserves. Whyy do I get the feeling you know this already though? Do you enjoy playing devils advocate?
  5. Hi Mark, going and spending some time with a local firm will be good, also it would be good to go to a climbing comp to see pure climbing. As for pto chippers, there are dozens... Just google PTO chipper.
  6. Brilliant find Phill, thats the spreadsheet I use.
  7. Damn. Thats me finished, because my body says NO every morning.
  8. What would you think of an accountant trying to cut his own trees? And dont go for a cheap acoountant - their like cheap tree loppers.... A good acountant will contest your current bill and get it significantly lowered. Speak to other guys see who they recomend. Do'nt use a complex software package like Sage or Quickbooks - just use a simple excell spreadsheet or even an old fashioned cashbook. Dont be afraid to go well out of your area to get a decent one. I travel 40 miles to mine. Interview a few, see if you get on with them. If you build a raport, they will do a lot for you...

    stretch airs

Actually, its a 'self feeding drum chipper' as opposed to a hydraulic feed drum chipper. I'd love the HSE to actually explain what they mean by that statement....
  10. I always wanted to be an Internationally famous playboy....
  11. :icon14:
  12. Sorry my Bad. What I should have said is you would need a 550 to equal the Farmi. the 400 is no comparison. One other thing, the opening on my last Farmi was 275 x 375 wide...
  13. only one thing I'll say, Farmi 260 has bigger infeed than a 550zx...
  14. That mog of yours is really nice Skyhuk. I would like to build a mog with the V6 twin turbo truck engine, total reliability and 400+ hp.
  15. How much of a runup does she need? She is a very nice looking rig though, mucho respect. Mine will do 56mph uphill, and its downrated to 300hp...
  16. 32 tonne 8 wheeler? Although I've traded down to a 26 tonne 6 wheeler nowadays:proud: I'd like to see any mog try to go more than 25mph grossing 24 tonnes
  17. Or they're using proper sized trucks
  18. Hey! I like crappy small talk!
  19. This is just my opinion (I've owned three of them) They represent the best value for money chipper available. The infeed is oversized and very heavy duty, The whole hopper swings clear for easy maintenence and makes the whole chipper very compact whilst on the move. The twin disc system with combs makes for extremely high quality chip. It chips at a 45 degree angle, so uses less horsepower for chipping. Its also extremely well built, and the powder coat finish is very durable. We ran one on the back of a 175hp massey with 1000rpm shaft, and it was superb. A brand new unit should come to you for about £8k.

    Portable Winch

Reg, I have a virtually new austrian Kohler winch I dont need. uses an 60 - 80cc chansaw powerhead for about 1 tonne pull, carry's about 100m of 6mm cable on its drum.
  21. Heres a tip - try a brand new Farmi 260 instead. much better chipper. However, should you still really really want a premier, I'm sure Mike at prochip will be able to oblige.

    blowers

Bob, Try Kawasaki. I have a backpak version thats superb, and Kawa are very good on the antivibes.
  23. Try not being so coarse. Honest Adults are usually polite about their opinions.
  24. Well done.
  25. Rather tow that than a little 6" thing bouncing away behind me.
