  1. This thread makes me sad. Shame to see these type of trees go. If it were me doing it I would have 100 tonne crane (with fly jib) in to dismantle them, and my grab truck to shift all the timber. Will be a lot of nice logs, and some excellent planking timber.
  2. Most builders are untermenchen.
  3. Smart arse.
  4. Burn nicely though!
  5. I have sold a lot of timber to David Nash over the years, He's probably the most famous wood sculptor I know. Just sold a truck to this guy, I really like his work... http://www.dominicclare.co.uk/
  6. Haha, nice one bradstock, cool tunes. If you like Unkle, check out the youtube video for ' keys to the kingdom' the same tune they use for the CSI ad where the posh bird comes back to the flat and chucks her boyfriend....

    big saws

395 is a truly awsome saw, as is the 660. must be something about that 90+cc class that works well...

  10. I imagine he's cursing the day he sold his lovely Vamet and forwarding trailer:cussing:
  11. As it happens.... I could get used to this life. You would not believe how well they have forestry organized over here. All houses built out of wood = lots of local demand + lots and lots of superb local woodland with big trees + dislike of harvesters = GREAT WORK FOR GOOD FALLERS with all skidding extraction. Also 4 sawmills in just this 1 valley = minimal road haulage = minimal carbon footprint. Its all a bit like the UK once was. sigh.
  12. Had that steve Bullman in again?
  13. No, apart from the pipes, hydraulic saws have power and torque far beyond what its size and weight would suggest.

  16. Prices are as follows - 905 ex demo £5000 1 has cleated tyres, 1 with turf tyres - niether machine has more than about 20 hours on it. 905 brand new in crate - £5500 - both on turf tyres 1150 tracked diesel with 30hp kubota engine, has about 40 hours up, £8000 These are well below even dealer prices. The finance company just needs to get them off there books asap. These machines were snached back from a company I used to work for. I am representing the finance company's interests, and gain nothing from the deal. All come with a general purpose bucket, but I have tonnes of other attachments available.
