  1. I've found an easy way to figure if they are the "excellent groundies". Just ask yourself if you miss them when they are not there. The ok guy wont be missed, but the job never goes that well when the best is not on site The best groundies wont need signals either!
  2. Never found a nuggate of gold but i do have the other! Im not mentioning his name though!
  3. Did have a look to see if it had but couldnt find it! Guess I'll best go out and do one of my own to show off then!
  4. These guys could sure show a few premadonnas from this country how to do it. Have a browse through their many vids. Credit to them; [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqrXO91lqpw&feature=player_embedded]Trivect Tree Rigging and Removal - YouTube[/ame]
  5. Nice to see before and after pics Spud, cheers.
  6. Happy birthday bird, have a good one!

  7. Spud, have you any pics of the pot? I'd be interested to see what you see as a scored bore but still good to use. Cheers, Pete.
  8. Only just seen this Chris! She sure looks like it went all at once, doesnt seem to have got too hot but there's been some big chunks floating around in there!! Hope you get it sorted, will be nice to read future progress on it provided you think its worth doing and not too much of a basket case. The beers went down well by the way, cheers mate:beerchug:

Got a dustbin full of empty newky brown bottles, now just need to decide between cider or stout? Anyone know any decent suppliers of bitter/stout kits?
  11. I think Phil is right Charlieh but if you were worried about anything jamming and the tractor twisting the machine up, could you not fit a pto shaft with a shear bolt in it?
  12. Ben, why such a difference between your own and the contracted land?
  13. If i recall you need to invoice them stating payment times, and list the costs prior to taking it to SMC. Its all on the website.
  14. Just google small claims court. It explains the correct procedure prior to to taking action with them, and if done according to this will cost nothing and you will get your money within a couple of weeks.
  15. I run a 36" on a 660 on alaskan and its about maxed out at that. I would say a 4 foot bar would be a massive struggle for it, and if you do manage to fit the 880 bar with 404 sprocket it would be way too much. Could you not hire a big saw for those one off big logs, would save hassle and the abuse of your 660?
  16. Nice Mog, tyres look a little hard though.
  17. Perhaps you shouldnt of passed comment then.
  18. I thought you had an opinion on how I think?
  19. Yeh, fair comment Dave. I feel after several pages, the repetative line gets a tad difficult reading and does detract from the origional intensions of the thread though.
  20. Still no reply Stevie? I am interested to read how you believe I think I dare say my wife would like to know also, as she has known me for 25 years and still cant read my mind, so print away!
  21. I really dont give a damn who chooses what PPE on their job to be honest! What I do find really strange though, is that this thread has recieved many criticisms of Liams decision about his own protection. However, on another thread, a poster openly braggs that he will knowingly overload a vehicle many dozens (if not hundreds) of times a year, that potentially could kill others and it only recieves one negative comment:confused1:
  22. FWIW, the type of customer who rings around is usually the same one who wants the cheapest deal. NOT my type of customer, but then again I only "play" with firewood and is approx 7 or 8% of my annual turnover. It does however have to pay its way, hence I will never be the cheapest, and never have a massive turn over from it, but what I do sell is high quality and would say year on year I keep 95% of my old customers. These customers are the ones who do my advertising and give word of mouth to new customers, and they are the type who will leave a message on the ans phone and wait for me to call them back. Not everyones cup of tea, but works well for me.
