  1. These are good for many bits too; L. R. Series - specialists in land rover, land rover series and range rover - gearbox, axle, transmission parts, spares and major units
  2. I even thought about that for a second! So, Im not going to try it as it goes "OL" over 45%
  3. Here's mine, seems to be good enough for the money. Kamasa Mini Moisture Tester - Machine Mart moisture
  4. Oh, and I think its the year of APF again so thats likely to be late September though.
  5. Jon, if there is one aim I must acheive this year, it has to be to meet you. I may only do a couple of shows this year, lets home we cross paths. You are a diamond:thumbup:
  6. I do know where there is a Ransomes plough and a fore end loader if you are interested. (The loader is from a Leyland though, but PM me if you are interested)
  7. Go along, and ask if its possible to speak to them directly(beware they may get a "mate" on the other end of the phone) If that doesnt work, in discussion ask how long the owners are away for, then tell them you are fully booked until then anyway. If neither of those work, walk.
  8. 576 xpg:thumbup1: Autotune:thumbdown:
  9. Go for the td5 if you have a chance, the best engine IME. A coupls of weeks back I looked back in the file of my 110, and in over six years its had a UJ on the front drive shaft, a front steering swivel and a fuel valve on side of the engine. Sorry Lee:blushing: I'll definately be buying another!
  10. Now I really like this one, but its in a different price bracket. Is this still over priced? Land Rover 110 Defender 2.5 Td5 Tipper Galvanised Rebuild | eBay
  11. Sure looks a nice one. If you dont hear anything after a couple of days, drop this guy a PM. Im sure he will be able to help; http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members/peteb.html
  12. I've sold out & now selling green to customers stocking up for next year as my prices WILL be going up next year! As for relating to utility prices, its a load of tosh! Buying in firewood from a supplier is a more expensive way of heating than say gas. ALL of my customers buy firewood from me to either add atmosphere to their house, because its "cool to be green" or simply because they like burning logs! I've found the enquiries I get starting off about price are the ones trying to heat cheap, and not the type that will either return, or the type I want!
  13. In the last 10 years Ive had many new saws, but to this day there is only one saw I use every day and no one else is allowed to touch, thats an ex council 2002, MS360 I gave £80 for. I bought this saw for parts, but when it was a runner, I did a muffler mod on it and now, 5 years later there is still nothing below 70cc can keep up with it with a 20" bar. Will be a sad day when it finally dies.
  14. I'm collecting mine tomorrow morning. £550 with 48" bar.
  15. Firewood varies too much to give an absolute. Best thing would be to get an "average" 3 cube of your own and take it to a bridge. Even different log men would get a different weight from the same type of timber. Depends how small its split, if its "shaken" down into bags etc. Most of the 3500kgs trucks should be ok with 3 cube of seasoned on though.
  16. 1.2 ton at a wild guess. You just curious or are you going to start selling by weight?
  17. I think you lot have missed the point I read on his shop listings. He is an industrial tool clearance specialist. Could explain many things?
  18. The girl looks very useful and pretty too. I have lots of logs, so...............
  19. I thing the 300 has the black box too hasnt it, whereas the 200 doesnt?
  20. Very similar situation near us Nick. There is an area approx 70 acres near a very large housing estate, all rough grass and thorn, humps and hills and is covered with tethered horses. Its land that eventually will go for buliding I'd say. The local kids often go on it with dirt bikes, build dens and generally lark about on there on bikes. The police regularly raid the area and confiscate the kids stuff and crush the dirt bikes for tresspass and causing damage to property. I know one guy who's lad of 15 had his bike crushed, asked why was it that the horses stay, and several police said they weren't allowed to impound the horses as they had no where to put them, and they couldn't find the owners!
  21. I would definately David. BUT..... It would have to be to my spec, and not the suppliers. Being able to sell on a "cheap" bought in product can have its problems when your regular customers are used to your standard of firewood.
  22. That is not strictly true. In fact, if you were to get a heavy duty 110 (3500kgs gross), it will probably carry more than a 130.
