  1. Could be a bit rough, and some might slag me off, but if you catch it doing it, rub its nose into the doo then put the cat in the tray. Usually works, if not, shoot it!
  2. All the work so far has taken longer and cost more than expected, but the whole idea is to end up with a vehicle to keep as a toy so its got everything new that its needed. This includes a new bulkhead, for anyone who doesnt know land rovers, thats a task on its own! Pics will follow!
  3. I did have some help, my dad, he was real chuffed to see the motor go in without trouble, said it was the loader driver, need i say more?
  4. After getting all stripped was time to start putting shiney stuff back together;
  5. Soon became evident all i had bought was a decent engine, box and axles! And after removing the big lump;
  6. Ok, so its been noticed ive not been posting as much recently, so here is why:cool23:; I bought an old 110 station wagon to restore, you know, one of those "something i always wanted to do but never had the time or money" type of things. Now well on with it, i relise i still havent got enough of either:scared: Anyway, here is a few pics from early on. I will post more when i have more time. This was when i first got it, wased near half a ton of mud to reveal the massive task! After a while removing some stuff that could be salvaged;
  7. Yeh, dont recon you will get a penny mate, especially leaving the brash. Just right it off and move on, sometimes you just get into a corner and a rash decision is needed. My sympathy over the money mate:thumbsdown:
  8. All the best steve, happy 40th:drunk::wave:
  9. I heard through an agri mate of mine they say £1.50 for white and £1 for red by AUGUST:scared:
  10. Fill us in Kev- sounds like you have something on the horizon??? Hows it going?
  11. As Pete Mctree told me its NOT tree surgery we work in, its "tree care" Credit to you:icon14:
  12. Yeh, would love to, just the wife you know:bongsmi:
  13. That was my first thought when i saw him sharpening it in pic#4! Oh, and some very nice kit!
  14. Interesting pics, i take it your mate likes his stihl:008:
  15. I cant believe it, is that really true? I thought Kev was into converting land rovers in his spare time:wave:
  16. Congrats John, another string to your bow:icon14:
  17. Its unbelievable, this happens more and more regularly. I have friends emigrating to Oz at the moment, it really makes you think.
  18. Got the day off eventally- started off going to a privet reduction, inaccessible due to cars against hedge and no one in, then went to a conifer removal and window fitters blocking drive, then it started raining..... good old George:drunk:
  19. Oh, and my brother came back from florida with a suitcase full of clothes and................NO 192t:cussing:
  20. I found exactly same, mine came with the narrow bar on 14" so dropped it to 12" but on a 200 bar, then modded exhaust- thats more than made up for running a wider chain:icon14:

    Massive difference but i recon the bushes might need more regular replacement, they`re very soft!
  22. Had the 660 back to the dealer again:scared: This time they agreed it was time to fit a new oil pump. They have also agreed to wave the bill i got for the above visit! Think that was around £45:bongsmi: At one point it looked like i wasnt getting anywhere with my dealer but finally looks like they have taken notice! Suppose the only thing to do is try it and see how it oils now! Oh, and mysteriously the tensioner seems fine now:fisheye:

    Got the BG86 on friday, came out at £200- i didnt get more chance to haggle before they booked it out! Had a try with it yesterday but it doesnt seem to have as much weft as the old one. Time will tell though, perhaps it will open up when its had a few tanks of fuel through.
  24. Looks like you all had a great laugh-and learned a bit too! Wish i had been able to come but couldnt due to previous commitment. I WILL be there next time. Nice pics dean, any more?
  25. As the others have said conkers as long as possible. In fact get them as long as you can without being uncomfy when you bend your leg! I have kleins but got extra long special from america. I could have managed with standard but they would have cut off circulation as they would have been strapped round the calf- not good!
