  1. Dean, sounds like a design issue but could be made worse by other things, like as said pump and motor wear, but, i dont want to insult your fitter abilities, how old is the oil and how many hrs has it done? Regular use and sometimes short periods of use can cause a lot of condensation to build up in the tank, especially in winter when the oil cold to hot temps are widest. My greenmech (your old one) slowly started doing the same, the oil was like milk, so changed it and filter- totally transformed! Just another thought to add to the pot.......
  2. Cheers Mac, will check that out.
  3. Yep, tree looks very healthy other than this. There are some other marks on opposite side. Couldnt see any type of damage.
  4. Hadnt noticed it was sunny- been in office ALL day:hmmmm: Wish i was out there though, got the paper work done now:boring:
  5. Ok, I`m not that hot on tree biology so here goes; Presently thinning a row of over- populated hornbeams. The trees are under a blanket TPO, had a survey done, therefore permission granted on basis of report. Found this bleeding on a tree to be retained and wondered if it was something for the customer to worry about? This tree is about 20" diameter in the stem, around 45- 50 feet high and the bleeding is only upto 2 feet off the ground. Not done much work on hornbeam, so never seen this before, any help would be good to give as feedback to the customer, cheers, Pete;
  6. Thats it dean, only on the station wagon apparently, along with rear anti-roll bar. Said to give smoother ride!
  7. Good lot more painting been done so on with a few big bits now; Thats about up to date now, got a nice weekend ahead so maybe get a good bit more done.
  8. Heres a few more of the latest progress; Bulkhead in and just about complete- glad thats over!
  9. Well done tuppy, now the real learning:biggthumpup:
  10. That ratio is great for me Dean, ive probably got twice as much to lift:wave: Lol!
  11. Could never get on with a pantin, and cant footlock either so i just drop a loop, put one foot in it holding the loop up and stand. Seems to work for me, dont know what its called though, Pete McGadget has seen me do it, could it be a half footlock?
  12. Hi Chris, as kev says, any of the landy forums are good to ask. Converting is not such a big issue as far as mountings go. The gearbox mounts bolt through the chassis and everything is lined up from there-just the engine ones are different. If you change the box, you may need a shorter front prop, and the v8 will need engine mounts welding in. You can get adapters for this to fit your n/a mounts but ive heard they tend to bend with torque from the big lump! Not sure whats involved in fitting the EFi-never had anything to do with it- but plenty get done so cant be too much to do. Oh, just thought, if you want them i have pics of where the v8 mounts go!
  13. Dont want to pick fault mate, but i wouldnt have had any of my extremities at thatside of the tree at all:wave: Nice to do a job like that though, earn some good brownie points:icon14: Well done.
  14. It looks like i need to be more patient! At the moment she is only 4 months old so still lots of time. As you have all said i think the best way is encouragement, and definately not to rush her and scare her. She actually is retrieving well, likes the water(goes after the fish at home!), just very reluctant to retrieve from the water! I do have a mate whos got a dog ours are familiar with and swims a lot, but he lives 15 miles away. The thought of me wading into water upto my nuts at this time of year is a bit scary..... but i guess thats why the dog is reluctant to jump in, especially for the first time! Guess its just time, cheers:icon14:
  15. Cheers Mac, i think the red will get noticed! The wifes choice:scared: As far as the gas goes, already got the LPG kit:drunk: Guess it might be best just to use it on longer runs:proud:
  16. Cant you see, Snoopy has it on her back:icon14:
  17. Here is Pip again- perhaps not the best place to have a kip!
  18. Just a couple more, nearly upto date. This is the make-do spray shop, a commercial greenhouse- cheaper than a low bake oven! The new bulkhead, and yes this is to be the finished colour!
  19. Another silly pruning job, light lifts, cleaning crowns, a thin on the cherry and a reduction on the rowan(already done in first pic) Another days steady money tho with about a barrow load of chips:icon14: After;
  20. The thought of that at the beginning of May has given me a shiver! Maybe in 3 months........
  21. Not had much big stuff to do lately, but heres the old faithful:scared: Took about 20 feet off these two; Nasty job, took about 3 hours, but got a full days money out so, hey:icon14:
  22. Been a while since anyone posted pooch pics, and i know there are others of the dog dishwasher, but heres Pip doin the pre-wash;
  23. Yep im stuck, keep taking the pup to the river but cant get her to swim for a ball or stick! Tried several times, throwing further each time but she gets to this point then leaves the ball/stick! Any suggestions? Oh, the old dog in the pic(Snoopy) does swim, but she like to follow another dog!
  24. I got a samurai a few weeks back because it was cheap- mistake! As steve said when he opened the thread, they bend!
