  1. No Iain it is a Timermaster skyline built by A&B Services in Killin NW Scotland. This one is from N Wales, operating it while typing this lol
  2. That's right Steve, he wanted to bring it on this site. Have you given up on AHS lol ?
  3. Very good pics you took last week Ed ! Garth that chipper isn't good is monumentally crap lol, mounted on that unit with a dolly it's more difficult to move about than a conventional artic. James reversed it out 1/2 mile in 30 minutes which was pretty impressive i felt for the poor bloke. The big heizohack is perfect for a job like this. Off back there at 6am tomorrow
  4. Depending on access, stick them at roadside and get a whole tree chipper in, you may even get paid for the material.
  5. I took the pro pics if you can call them that ! Carl yes bone well and truly worked to... We do have a grapple for the excavator complete with a live heel which is very usefull it just wasn't fitted in those pictures.
  6. It's amazing how nice it looks from the pics and how naff it is on the ground with the sauna like effect of the bog, the horse flies, the nats, the ticks, the snapped cables, and the PITA re-rigs, the antibiotics and constant sickness lol Despite the moaning we are all slightly proud of what we have achieved so far against the odds...nobody else has achieved this in Cumbria yet. JP - has my old Valmet been about I'm sure i've seen it drive down the 590. Steve any chance of growing up and re-instating my avatar etc
  7. I knew it !! I just knew you couldn't go without boasting about this job lol Some nice pics there i wonder where they came from Will have to add the ones of the digger up to the cab now as well mate !
  8. Having worked with Vicki I can vouch for her hard working and enthusiastic attitude some what lacking in new starters these days. I would give her a job tomorrow based on attitude if an opportunity was to come up... Best of luck Vicki....
  9. Then Jenz is a good shredder much better than there crappy chippers ! Beware though they bite i have the scare to prove it !
  10. I allways put valid for 30 days on mine...have had clients come back upto a year later and then i have made a descion based on the job.
  11. Have to get the finger board out here as well Jason Prehaps a gentle session for Arbtalkers in N wales could be arranged for when the better weather comes ??
  12. I actually have no idea what so ever ! Never timed myself, like most never bother with ladders as i can't be arsed to get them off the wagon. I suppose once the line is set anywhere between 3-5 minutes...
  13. I'd be up for doing something mate, i've lead to HVS but that was 5 years ago now so a tad rusty lol ! Matt.
  14. Whereabouts are you going mate ? You'll either love it or hate it it's a completley different ball game to tree work. If you like it it's well worth doing specific strength trainning focused on power and endurance....have fun..
  15. Or Nationwide Hire or Access hire will help you.
  16. Or hire one to drive yourself from Coppard Plant hire... google them...very good..
  17. Really ! I'm sure the EA would have something to say about you burning the prunings from Mrs Smith's apple tree in the middle of acacia drive ! Kingwell Holdings import these machines and although i have no direct experience of them several people have told me air burners don't work as well as some would have you believe. I think the tractor trailer incinerators pictured earlier however work very well on the right job. I did something similar myself when taking down a big scots pine on a golf course. Saved damaging the ground. As for noisey inefficient chippers i would suggest that maybe it's time for a chipper over haul !
  18. LOL Jason, I have a friend in the SE who does something very similar to you are proposing and was himself a tree surgeon up until last year...might be a good contact for you both ? I'll send you his details via Facebook..
  19. Very nice Stevie I am truly envious
  20. Ah yeah Neil, really nice guy say hi from me when you see him.

  23. Nice work Charlie most of my childhood was spent pulling trees out of waterways.
  24. I travel all over the uk most of it in the sticks and O2 seems to have most others licked now.
